  1. Can this be it : Link No info yet, but sure looks like DW in not recessed, although there are no pictures of dial taken at some angle ? regards
  2. Whoa, guys, wait - this movement is NOT ETA 2894, it is DD 2030 chrono movement, with ETA 2892 base movement (there is also version with 2824 base). There is no asian 2894, and I have never seen rep with ETA 2894 movement. It was probably some custom order, and these are surplus that Angus got hold of. I guess if Davidsen managed to source Soprod 9040s in quantity, it's not very surprising that other makers can source something like DD2030. And no, Dubois Depraz 2030 does not have date function, some other DD chrono modules do, but 2030 does not. Interesting thing, though, is that original Mare Nostrums (5218-301a, 6, 7, 8 ) used very similar module from DD, but on top of ETA 2801 hand wind movement ... now, that would be interesting development regards
  3. I'm pretty sure this module doesn't have date function (DD2030). If they manage to somehow source or engineer 2892 chrono module WITH date, that would be real revolution ... ahh one can always dream
  4. Maybe this will help: Link If tracking says something like "Package was posted on ... " it means your package is sitting somewhere on HK airport and waiting When it leaves, tracking info will update. Last time they had this kind of jam, it took more than a month for some packages from DSN to arrive to Europe. regards
  5. Hmm, good point ... well, I guess I should be lucky I got mine on time regards
  6. Just to add to lume discussion - I received A7753 196 from King few days ago (I received QC pictures 10 days ago), and lume is pretty much the same as on 250 I got two months ago, not better not worse - definitely not "alien" green as seen on some pictures in this thread. I would presume this green was result of some strange combination of over-saturation and wrong white balance setting on digital camera used to take pictures, but I guess time will tell regards
  7. Something like this (sec-at-12 with MBW hornback):
  8. I feel the need - the need for speed regards
  9. Angus (Puretime) and Peter (Watchstation) are partners, they work together. regards
  10. This one in the morning: then, switched to this beauty: regards
  11. I was wandering the same thing - can't find anything cheap as that online. regards
  12. Well, this is really quite disappointing, ton of flaws AND modified 2836 ... well, patience is a virtue, one day someone will make it right Yeah I'm hoping for 224 since first seeing new daylights ... just that they get dial color right - meaning NOT like cartel 229 - and I'll be all over it regards
  13. There is no "deep dish" SL T48, all spring loaded T-crowns are "shallow" dish. regards
  14. OK, guys, check out review by bollobandit - date windows position is EXACTLY THE SAME like on gen ... I don't know how did those previous pictures fool us, or create some optical illusion, but these are pics of rep next to gen, and there is no doubt. Also, size and depth of date window (i.e. recess of DW) are identical. Great news anyhow !! regards
  15. I don't think so - if I remember correctly, I was able to put 7750 196 dial on 7753 movement without any problem, only thing not aligning was date window. Also, based on ETA technical documentation train bridge part is shared between 7750 and 7753 movements, meaning running seconds has same position on these two movements for sure. regards
  16. It doesn't matter, second picture (250 dial, with vertical line drawn from chrono minutes hand post) leaves no place for doubt. Since placement of hand post is defined by movement, not dial geometry, it is obvious that date windows is placed differently relatively to hand post - meaning DWs are not the same. regards
  17. You are mixing up lot of thing here - first, you can't use Unitas/Asian 6497/8 stems in any other movement, because part of the stem that goes into movement is completely different. Usually different movement "families" have different stems - e.g. 775x movements have one kind of stem, 289x movements other etc. Other thing about stems is thread size (or diameter of threaded part). For 775x movements (Swiss AND Asian - there is no difference) two different sizes are produced - 0,9 and 1,2. What size you need depends ONLY on crown you have/want to use. So, if your crown has 1,2 sized "hole" for stem, you need 1,2 sized stem - if your crown have 0,9 sized "hole", you need 0,9 stem Just as suggestion - maybe it would be good idea to assemble one sticky post about stems and crowns, there seems to be lot of confusion about that, especially in Panerai section. regards
