  2. Mike is a good guy, I agree.

There was a rumor that he is actually a watch-repairing robot who has all the know-how and needs no break.

That is rubbish. Skilled as he is, he still made some spelling mistakes in our communication and displayed emotions for me to confirm that he is actually a very capable human being who sometimes needs time-off like the rest of us. :D

  3.

I think we are being conned  .. the final version on Angus site and over at rg .. bezel number are not the same as sample pic!!(fat) they are the same size as v3 thin!  ...plus no lower bezel brushed edge .. and same shitty wood pattern ... incorrect yellow no ti parts !! bad Cyclops A.R... 1 step forward .. and 10 back !! . not even a fc breakthrough looks nothing like fc they were better of using plastic would have looked way better !!
    ..totally .....................Sucks!!

    p.s incorrect rubber strap!

We can always count on you my friend for the eagle eyes.

I did not place my order because though I am a fan of FC, yellow is not my thing.

I am looking forward to see pics of the actual watch. Thank you Z for pointing all the flaws out!

  4. Some thoughts...

It's almost impossible to capture Forged Carbon in pictures accurately. It changes dramatically according to light and light angles. I have a FC RG Grand Prix and a custom Forged Carbon Montoya case. There is no way I can take accurate photos to depict the true effect of genuine Forged Carbon.

    true, D, true.

It is extremely hard to bring out the beauty of FC in pictures. Most need post-shot editing.

Else it'll just look like mid-grade black wagyu beef slab :D

Forged carbon montoya case you said...hmmm.. send a pic mate!

  5. I just think its funny how these professional jewelers think using a loupe will help them determine if it's real or not. What are they looking for exactly? A microscopic trademark symbol?

I think quality of dial print. But you're right, determining the authenticity of a watch based only on loupe inspection is ridiculous.

There is still the movement to consider. A franken watch can have a gen dial and rep movement. It would appear to be genuine under a loupe.
