I spent a long time looking for a rep of that watch. This is the closest I could find, bought years ago.

Sadly, if you want the one you posted, you're out of luck. No reps exist, nor ever have, or ever will.

My advice, as a Patek Philippe lover, would be to consider some of the other models. Aquanuts, Nautilussesses, and Catalatras are among the best produced reps.

Yeah that's the same with me. I left a few years ago because RWG was turning into a real cesspool but I've come back just because I could not resist the watches. It looks like some things have changed for the better around here at least from what I can see... they are not begging for money like they used to LOL

I read somewhere, don't remember where, a long time ago, don't remember when, that the genuine Fifty Fathoms feels poorly constructed and cheap compared to other brands in a similar price range. A good rep, would be one of the rare last reps I would buy... I have been waiting for one going on 6 or 7 years... but to spend that kind of money on a gen... I don't think so honey boo boo.

You know, it's hard to believe, but I acquired this rep, my last, almost 3 years ago exactly to the date. Coming back to the forums in what is now the sixth year I have been 'involved' (to put it generously) in this hobby and I am filled with some good memories, lots of disappointment, outdone only by occasional resentment.

It used to be fun. It used to be about the watches. It didn't take me all of five minutes before I was staring down the buttock of a half naked lady in the, of all places, for sale section of RWG. But how this website became "the league of horny gentlemen touching themselves and sometimes talking about extraordinarily expensive fake watches shoddily glued together from 99% original parts" is just icing on the cake.

I haven't bought a new rep since the one above. I have more than enough. A broken strap here, a crown falling out there, hands limp and flopping about, with others that just won't run. Fine watches indeed.

But what gets under my skin the most is the apparent cluelessness from the actual rep factories. All I see is the same boring Panerai and Hublot done over and over in the same basically identical versions except with cheaper movements and don't forget more and more expensive. And people buy it! They buy and they buy some more... derp derp derp... BEST VERSION! ULTIMATE 1:1 VERSION! LAY EGG IS TRUE! oh yes I need another Hublet! I only have 37 of them already! A special Barney Purple Dinosaur Edition? Don't mind if I do! $750? Great price! But to make a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms? Add to this the hilarious forum elitism (what is this now? forum money? hey donate to the forum you worthless ingrates - join the community - otherwise f-off, and be ignored!) and you get the recipe for an unpleasant and generally not worthwhile experience. It is amazing that so much time has passed since I "fell away" from RWG. I did make some friends on here. I am amazed - shocked - that I am still not banned yet - but at LEAST there is some value to freedom of speech. At least.

What is my point? Let's start a new years resolution, for a replica revolution. Let's make this hobby "fun" again. Let's put it on the dealer to make the watches we want to see, and have more reasonable pricing, too. Let's bring this forum back to an organized look with substance, not flash, and watches, not [censored].
