  1. I've never had a problem with a high beat 7750, either. Never.

The old low beat version was different... members had constant problems with it. Old Regattas might have had that one inside?

Just guessing as it's an old rep model. But then I don't know anything about Panerai (rep or gen).

  2. Okay... the new Noob Explorer II got me thinking to get another white dial. Sold my franken ExpII a long time ago as it was simply too small to wear. But this 42mm... hmmm...

Please talk me out of purchasing another COMPLETELY USELESS rep. Tell me it's crap and inaccurate to boot. :D Haven't bought one in YEARS.

  3. Yeah... but Rolex case was almost 100% similar from the earliest 1680 to 16610. That means over 40 years.

Evolution? Of course... nothing against that. I wouldn't have had a problem if they had just improved the clasp and put a ceramic bezel on it. But this was no evolution... Rolex butchered and ruined the classic beautiful lines.

Let's face it: The only other case change (besides this) was when crown guards were introduced back in 1967.

  4. Ps. I did not realize the BK/WM9 came in black. That watch in your personal collection? If so congrats. That's a true gem.

No. Those are pics by another member from this thread. I love the 16613 and have owned plenty of TT Sub reps. I was offered to buy a WM9 TT Sub (back in the day) for a great price but declined. I wouldn't wear it anyway... it's just too ostentatious. I'm happy with my steel version. :)

  5. Like I said, there's only one decent replication of the GMTIIc. The old Noobfactory one that I linked for you... it was also available in TT.

And even that has a terrible rehaut engraving.

That flaw itself is pretty bad (imho). Other than that it's fairly good as it is. But not good enough to invest thousands on a franken. That would require WM9/TC quality base watch... and such watch doesn't exist.

    Just imho.

  6. I just found out about this black and blue GMT.

What a silly Invicta-like color combo. Why don't Rolex give its customers what they want? Read: The iconinc Pepsi that's so "Rolex". Can't they make ANYTHING right anymore? It's like they're pissing on their old traditions and enjoying it.

This is cool only if you want to know what time it is in Gayville.
