Fish today.

The gen black steel version looks awesome too.

Even if the rep is probably the best-ever, it still can't compare to the gen.
Just look at those SELs and the dial finish.
That's a beauty... enjoy.

Ebel 1911 Discovery is the most accurate rep ever made... without a doubt. At least from the ones that I've seen.
I think Skyland v2 deserves to be on the list... at least if you got it with decent lume dots. WM9 v2 is awesome too, as well as old version of SMP Chrono. I've kept all those reps, they're so good.

Hi Jim,
16610 Sub doesn't have AR coating. Gen or rep.
Cheers!

I never understood why the members didn't get this watch when it was still available. It became popular long after it was out of production.
Great rep!

late 80's.... "before you were born"?
Where do you think you arrived... in a kindergarten?

Is TC Sub the same as WM9 v2 Sub?
I haven't been following things lately... just asking to update my old guide.

Thanks for the pics.
Does anyone know what happened to the new and bigger "orange hand" maxi dial Explorer II?
It was supposed to be released this year.
I also like the blue YM and the new bigger DJ. New Subs leave me cold.
Not to mention SSD and YMII. Both are (still) ugly as hell.

Then I briefly owned this too. Black rep from 2009 I think. Very nice. The lume was greener and "pimplier" though.
-
That dial looks very good. As we know the rep violet blue colour is different to the gen. Nothing wrong with that though. It's a nice dial and colour.
I had one from the very first batch. Maybe it's the same watch as yannou's new one? I dunno... I think I've lost my "eye".
Edit: I don't think so. yannou's concentric circle effect looks much better.

@Red: They changed the seconds hand to arrow for the 2007 model.
@HacR: Good observations. I never noticed. Probably just same variation(s) that Rolex dials always had.
My lume is definitely ivory white when uncharged.
Like this.

This has to be one of the finest rock songs ever recorded. It never gets old.

Don't know Freddy,
but if you look at the post history, you will see what I mean. I've posted some of my gen watches, in next posts someone mentioned VRF or TRF and then By-Tor gives his 2 cents...sorry, but I feel adressed myself in his post.
I was speaking generally. I own more gens than reps myself. I have nothing against gen owners, but you know the stereotype of a "gen snob" in those forums, don't you?
I was an admin member on a gen board long time ago. I used to know all the "main players" in those forums... I have no idea who's still hanging there these days. I haven't visited TRF in years.
Stop acting like a hysterical woman. This was the first time I heard about you and your collection (which is very nice btw).

No, but you can't say the reason for your post were NOT because of my pics! Why you don't start it in another section? So I am not a kid, I know whom your post is devoted...
"Because of your pics"? What the hell are you talking about? Do you somehow visualize that you're the only RWG member who has a few gens and belongs to a gen forum?
...and it's not nice of you. Here are a lot of members owning a lot of gen watches, and they are members of both boards. But that's not a reason to abuse them.
"Abuse them"? Does anyone have the slightest idea what this guy is talking about? <shakes head>

I think I've lost my "eye", but could it be the same watch as this one that I reviewed a few years ago:
If it is, then yes... it's a good rep.
