  1. Hi Admin

Having 1000+ products on a webstore and needing to change everything is absolutely not a viable option. What I can best do is to put a Watch FAQ describing the terms I had used. In that way, I will think it will serve best purposes. Thanks!

Happy CNY... I am off for a break!

    Andrew

FAQ is good, but this does not qualify as an "UPGRADED" dealer category.....UPGRADED means they went out of their way and took the time to update their website. If this is time consuming for the dealers (I know its not impossible) and they will stick with the FAQ Option, then may I suggest that any new models they add should have the new standardized description and should be annotated as such!

  2. I am having a bit of an issue with my Breitling Bently GT I have had it a couple of months now and now the crown will not screw down I dont know if I have damaged the crown or what. I push the crown down and screw it on but it doesnt tighten I belive maybe I have stripped it. Can this be fixed? If so who can fix this it is pretty much my favorite watch and I would like to get this fixed asap.

I don't believe the Breitling's crown screw down unlike the Rolexes! They have double gaskets if I'm not mistaken! You just push the crown back in!

  3. I posted pics of these watches on both RWG and TRC in the Rolex section. Nothing was said. So I figured Id come here. This is what I love about this place I can get a honest opinion about the reps Ive bought. You guys have caught things the guys on Finest Rolex forum didn't LOL

    Hi Tony,

I'm interested! have you communicated with Paul or anyone @WO-MArt yet? Could you share what you have so far?

    Thanks!

  4. The fact that they dropship does not mean they are not responsible for accuratly representing their products and it does not mean they are not accountable for the quality of the merchandise. In the business world, this is known as re-selling... it is just not accurate to suggest that a reseller is not accountable for the merchandise he/she markets when he dropships. Dealers need to make sure they carefully choose their suppliers, knowing full well that their business reputations are at stake when they do so.

Bottom line is, the dealers choose the suppliers they do business with.. we do not, and we should not. My job is to pay for the product, the dealer's job is to deliver the product I paid for. Period. It is up to them, and not me, to figure out how to do that. Dropshipping may present a problem, but quite frankly it is not MY problem it is the DEALERS' problem.

I completely agree! No matter how the dealer source and ship their products, they ultimately are accountable to their buyer/customers. And as being suggested by Pug; "Truth in advertising" should be the creed of our dealers. I'm a newbie at this hobby and I made the assumption that I could trust what the dealers that are on this Forum, advertise or sell on their Web site. Now that trust is in question....

Ex. I ordered six watches from 1 of the dealers mentioned here....5 of those were ordered with service and waterproofing......as a newbie with no tools or equipment to test for these service, I trust that the dealer did it......now I'm not sure????

One of the watches, a Daytona have this as part of the advertisement: Crystal: - Sapphire crystal with laser etched crown at 6.00 but when I receive it, that part was missing.....so the question is, who's fault was that; dealer or his supplier? The problem I see with this scenario is Quality Control - its non-existent if its Dropped Shipped....and I'm starting to notice that with the batch I ordered. Two have been sent back already and two more are under observation with chrono function problems. That's 4 out of six that had problems....where's quality control?????

  5. Although I am under the impresion that they are selling the same watch, albeit with very different modifications, the watches in the pphotos do not look the same.

Josh LV - Look Closely at "Swiss Made" and the hash marks

    post-223-1170089030_thumb.jpgpost-223-1170089041_thumb.jpg

    See the difference?

Having purchased these watches both ways, there is a significant difference. Josh has someone modify the bracelet, CGs and case, whereas Andrew's watch is mechanically serviced (same service as Josh).

With all the talk of late about misleading advertisements, it's unfortunate that many people may not know whether the advertised mods are real or marketing hype. I have bought several of these, and I have enough subs to know the difference - a lot of work goes into the mods, and the finished product has a discernably different feel.

Since the watch is built upon the same base as the MBW - that being the TW Best case, I think that Josh's watch is probably the best version of the modern sub available as it has a lot of labor put into that the MBW does not.

    Bill

Thanks a lot, Bill! :victory: - that's very illuminating! Should I believe the Swiss ETA 2836-2 claim and is it worth the extra $150, I mean for all the labor and such.

    Trusty's:

All of the above works are carried out by Swiss Trained Technicians

**Above EXTRA works will cost about USD150-USD250 elsewhere

    Thanks a lot, TT! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  7. Have you check the Rolex LV Green SS Submariner "PERFECT" model of Josh and Andrew? $150 difference, anybody have an idea why? They're both advertising same movement: Swiss ETA 2836-2, and almost same mod; Josh have added or spelled out mod on bracelet.

  8. Come on dealers when you want to sell a new watch you have no trouble letting us all know about it, but now your silence is deafening. My wishful thinking, but lets hear your side of the story. Helloooooooooooooooooooo!

Kinda sad that we haven't heard from them yet, but if ever they update their WEB Site/Store, we should all be patient because I know it would take some time. What with all those brands and models they advertise. One thing I'd like to see though, if they actually do this, is (my suggestion) to put a banner on their site saying so and also jumping in here and tell us about it......common Guys, where all waiting. We understand and we're always here as your loyal customers. just tell us exactly what we're buying!!!

    Thank you!!!!

  9. I am dealing with a bad case of misplaced loyalties too. I have done very little dealer criticisim in my time here and have several posts that started with something like "Josh for President....". I'm more than a bit confused and frankly...sad for my dealer friend from whom I've purchased about $1200 worth of watches in the last 9 months with excellent results. This is like Watergate. Fess up now before the cover-up becomes bigger than the crime!!! We'll still love you.

Now, that's scary!!! I've spent more than that in one order and had problems with 3 upon receipt! Ouch!!!! I attribute that to just batch problems.......now I'm really scared.

Thanks, Pug for starting these. Us Newbies are learning a lot from these discussion! Although making me scared and worried. Those kind words from several/actually it seems like a lot of members here and the other site help me made the decision to order from this dealer!!! So now I'm curious if I got what I paid for!!!!! It shouldn't be this way!!!

If these thread make these dealers changes their ways, then Pug should be honored for making it happen and have the balls to start this!!! "Josh.....sorry, I mean "Pug for President......!!!!!" Maybe you could clean up the mess in Iraq, too!!!!

  10. I gave up drinking for my 50th birthday last week.

This week, I've got the nastiest flu I can recall

Now, I have had a spanking.

I have gone thru the list and edited my prior posts - now I am going back to bed to deal with DTs, Nausea Vomiting . . . and now a stinging butt

    :black_eye:

    Bill

Sorry to hear that, Bill! I hope you get well soon! Oh! and BTW: Welcome to the Golden Boys Club!!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  11. BTW,

Josh told me yesterday on e-mail that the movement for the "Perfect" Sub he sells is a genuine Swiss ETA movement and not a Chinese copy. Is this the case?

Now I'm worried about this watch that I was planning to get, Now I'm not sure if this is just hype!!!: ROLSUB0014 - Rolex LV Green SS Submariner "PERFECT" - Swiss ETA http://www.ttwristwatch.com/index.php?main...products_id=797

    and this: ROLYM006 - "Perfect" YachtMaster Rolesium Men's - Swiss ETA http://www.ttwristwatch.com/index.php?main...products_id=852
