Which dealer did you buy this from?
-
That's almost a 5 year old comparison.
I'm willing to bet the latest reps are much closer to the gen.
-
On my wish list!
Thanks
-
looks good
-
congrats and welcome to the addiction!
-
You've got good taste.
Enjoy them and post up some photos when you get them.

I've been wearing my 312 but recently ordered a 111N to wear as a daily watch.
The 111 is simple, gen like and reliable.
-
that looks great, especially that awesome plexi! a 6.75" wrist can definitely rock a 47mm watch... my wrist is less than that and i wear my 47mm 6154 with pride!
That's good to know. I will look into getting a 127 in a few months maybe after I get a 187 another 47mm PAM
-
I personally never wind it completely.
No real evidence that it will be good or bad either way.
I just enjoy winding the watch in the morning so I usually wind it 25-30 times.
The watch does stop in the early morning the next day and that's fine.
I figure It will just be less wear and tear on the watch in the long run and hopefully last a bit longer.

Such a gorgeous watch.
Wish I could sport a 47mm watch.
My measely 6.75" wrist will look like a tooth pick with this thing on. LOL
-
I'd pick the 127. Love the domed glass crystal.
My measly 6.75 inch wrist can't sport such a beast.
The 390 is too plain to me.
I also prefer the second hand at 9.

Guess we will all find out when we get out orders in.
I have a Noob 111n coming in hopefully by next week.
Here's my QC pic
-
thanks for the update.
Please post some photos when you get it back.

that's good news. Where in Vegas exactly will this store be?
-
Nice write up and excellent photos!
Yes the DSSD is a really nice watch.
I wear mine often and really enjoy it.
-
Looks good.
Where did you get the satin refinishing block?
-
The only bezel I know is Sean's Bezel on his 1:1 Case.
it's the most correct one I've seen.
Believe me I had all of them.
MBW
WM9 V1,V2,V3
TW Best
etc.
None compare to Sean ones.
For those that are faily new to the REP game, who is this Sean you speak of and where can I find examples of his work?
Thanks
-
I think OP is talking about the shineyness of the edge/teeth on the side of the bezel.
I have noticed this myself especially when under the intense bright light at a jewelers counter.
The polished teeth are very shiny and reflective on the GEN while the REP is not as reflective.
If a person knows to look for this, an obvious tell can be seen from across the room.
I think one could polish this oneself and make it shiny.
Anyone care to do a DIY?
-
if you like the way it looks, keep it that way.
Who cares what others think.
-
Looks pretty good except the clasp.
-
Looks great,
Where can I order this case from?
-
Great looking watch.
I do like the Explorer.
Hope to get one soon.

It Will never Happen, maybe a quartz version Will be produced. Or better Still they Will produce a case set/dial and hands for an El Primero Install. Thats the best possibility.
I personally don't mind a quartz movement as long as the Chrono works and the case can be made more accurately.
So please make one! LOL
Today! Received a 380 from Trusty that is....awesome.

Looks sweet!
WShen you get your gen corners, can you post photos that show the difference? I've never seen the corners cause they seem to be covered by the strap.
Thanks.
