  1. Found some Breitling prices in Prague. Not the biggest Breitling fan so I am not aware of retail prices elsewhere in the world. In USD prices should be 11.380 - 14.000 - 16.850 - 17.900 - 7.500 They probably qualify for a tax refund (21%) as well
  2. Since I have a problem with my GPS I always happen to end up in so many strange cities, countries and parts of the world. Right now I am in Prague. And I suddenly got this briliant plan of looking for a watch. Perhaps they are cheaper here than at home. Or at any other place for that sake. By searching this forum for 10 years I just recently found out who has the best sub, I am not stupid, I learn pretty fast! So now, being an expert, I have tried to bargain at some watch stores, saying for example that "I can get a quartz Sub for 1/1000 of that price" etc. That never left with me much success. You can not imagine how arogant those sales people in the watch stores can act!!! Service minded? Yeah, sure! Anyways, I have made some good deals (I hope) One was in Malaysia, since the currency there is crying. Got a Omega Seamaster Chrono for about $3.700 at the airport. Didn't even have to argue with the price .. (which left me with a feeling of being f*cked again !! argh) Qatar (and probably UAE) also has some good prices. In 2013 they had an offer at an Omega store in Doha. Buy for more that $1000 and get a value coupon for 50% of the price. Meaning, if I bought an Omega, which was cheaper than in my country anyways. I could buy another one for half the price! Being smart with my money and not looking longer ahead than my own nouse tip, I of course refused the offer. Since my mind realized what I missed at that time, I have never slept! So, since my quest for the best Sub is successfully over, my new quest is .. any experience in (world wide) where you get the best deals if you buy a gen ?
  3. Exactly. And middle name was Tempting
  4. Happened to me in Miami as well, with a Rolex GMT with bracelet. That girl was an artist, I have to admire her. Was sitting with her in a sofa and she was flirting. She simply put my arm in between her legs and said I could feel and touch something that apparently was there .. While putting my arm there she managed to take it off my hand. And I had the wrong focus at that moment wo I didn't notice. If it was a real watch I would be mad, but it was a product from Trusty. So I got my revenge every time I imagine her face at the pawn shop the day after when trying to sell it ..
  5. Anyone else who travel a lot ? Would be cool to discuss some experiences on cities, hotels, airplane companies etc .. Thailand, Qatar Airways and Hilton are my prefered choices .. Have also learned to stay away from Air France
  6. Pure art and one of a kind!! And probably a good investment, you can hardly loose your money. Price will only rise
  7. Thanks Nanuq, I will for sure post some pics. For what it is worth, my best rep ever was purchased from PreciousTime once upon the time. It was a YachMaster with S/G bracelet and the gold was pure gold, not plated. With an ETA movement. Haven't seen him around for some years, he used to provide the best of the best Nice to be back btw ..
  8. Hi again, Every time I post here I feel like a newbie. Seems like I make a post every time there are Olympic Games somewhere ... Had almost forgot this page till I browsed Trusty's page and saw the link. Considering to purchase some beauties from him again (which I do every year there are Olympics) so as usual I will post some pics and a review .. Nice to be back
  9. Thanks for the replies, u guys know much more about movements than I , It's not the end of the world, but paying a lot more (there were 3 different movements to choose from) for en ETA movement, I think I should get one as well? Or would that make me a newbie who doesn't understand the rep business? I don't care if it has Rlx stamps all over, because I don't open the case very often .. As a matter of fact, I never do actually. That's not why I purchase a watch. I mostly look at the upper side of the watch frequently, to see what time it is. And I prefer that it is as close to accurate time as I can expect from a mechanical watch with an ETA movement ..
  10. Hi all, I purchased a GMT rep some months ago for a trusted dealer here. I ordered the ETA (Swiss 2836 ) version. However, after using the watch for a while, I find it surprisingly bad for being an ETA movement. Power reserve is about 16-18 hours, and it slows down with ca 30 seconds for every 24 hours. I wind it up about 20 turns every time it stops and shake it like a madman afterwards as well. Are there any way to see if it is actuallly an ETA movement in the watch, or if it's an Asian one? Not sure if it can bee seen from this pic?
  11. Hei Gran, Here are the gens. Saving for a GMT Blue/Black now. Maybe next year. Till then, I got the newly purchased rep from TT Daytone steel. Only thing I miss is Date!! Didn't realize how important date is before I purchased this watch. Anyways, a Daytona always was on top of my wishlist. Personally I think it's one of the most beauteful watches ever made, but I know that is a matter of taste ... GMT Pepsi dial. I used to have a black dial before as well (first gen watch I ever bought). I love the GMT's Seamaster. This is actually my favourite watch. Heavy as hell and I like the rough look of it. Unfortunatelly, none of the Omega watches I have ever owned are even half as accourate as the Rolex watches. So apparently Rolex movements (from my experience) are better. But I couldn't care less actually ... Another Seamaster. Would probably look less boring with the G/S link As for the reps .. I might upload some pics later Cheers og god helg
  12. Luckyyyyyyy was a dealer from another forum as far as I can remember gran. Apparently he got lots of complaints, so he dissapeared very fast. But I got what I payed for, so I got only good memories of him I might post some pics of my reps and also my genuine watches later on if I have time for it. Most of the reps I gave away to good friends though, but I still got some old ones in a box here
  13. I don't remember if I introduced myself when I registered here several years ago. At that time I was young and since then age has provided me with .. experience .. wisdom .. bigger belly ... and probably alzheimers. So hi again (or hi for the first time). Reason why i returned (or just joined, don't remember) was that it was many years since I purchased a rep. And I used to buy lots of them. Even bought a nice one from Luckyyyyyyy (if anyone remembers him, I dont). Actually I forgot about this forum until I was looking at my old bookmarks. And this forum appeared as an angel from the sky. I don't write many posts, pretty much the only ones I do are a dealler review every second year or so. So I will not be a regular and well known member here, but thought it would be nice to say HI anyways Cheers ppl
