  1. As I type, my GST is in Canada with The Zigmeister. I believe in a service myself. :D

I value my GST too much to not want it to last 5 years, and if it doesn't get a service, I doubt it'd last a year, as I use the chronos.

Although, having said that, today's cooking was timed by my MoonWatch, which requires no service.

What have you cooked up for us?

  2. :o:o Please gentlemen, DON'T SCAVENGE THAT JLC CHRONO or rare beautiful watches like that just for a rep!!! :o:o People have been shot for less than that in the Wild West! No seriously, that is just plain heresy (in the case of that JLC) to remove a movement from such a glorious & historically significant watch. ;) Find a suitable no-name watch for the dirty deed

I will wax a little further on this topic:

You cannot use V72 movements with the GMT function or the day/date. They are thicker than the standard V72 movements!

I`m so with eunomians on this one. How can you ripp out the movement on these beautiful gens for a rep. Remember a rep is a rep. I think we all should realise that no matter what you do with your rep it will never be an original, never.

  3. This is a known pseudo-luxury brand.

    From http://www.chronocentric.com/watches/counterfeit.shtml

Three specific brands known to play the luxury watch imposter game are:

    • Klaus Kobec -- Advertises heavily in magazines as being comparable to US$2,000+ watches, with a retail price of US$900, but can be yours for only US$200.
    • Krug Baumen -- Sold on auction sites. Claims "RRP" in the £475-625 (US$900-1,200) range, yet they routinely sell in the £15-50 (US$30-100) range. Even has an impressive looking official website for the brand.
    • Montre Suisse -- Sold on auction sites especially in the United Kingdom, often in bulk lots of 5 to 10 pieces. Claims a retail price of £129.99 (approximately US$250), yet are sold in any quantity you want for less than £5.99 (US$12) each. Ironically, their name translates to "Swiss style."

    Caveat Emptor, I guess.

On e-bay there is also roebelin&graef
