Had my breakfast near an Rolex AD this morning.As I still had time to spare after breakfast,I popped in the AD to check out the yacthie.I had my WM BKYM on my wrist and quickly took it off and put it in my pocket before going in. That particular AD was notorious for their lousy service as they are the only rollie AD in town.I remember I was there few years ago to check out a 16234 and all I see is the "never even bother" look on the sales rep face.Since then a new AD has set up shop not too long ago. As I approached the main glass door panel,I was greeted by a warm smile.I remember that guy..the same old sales rep but this time he is very attentive and approachable.Guess times are bad huh..? I went on saying that I was looking for a YM and he guided me to the section where a few sports model were on display.I saw a Deep sea,A sub, Explorer I,Explorer II and of cause the YM.He handed the watch to me and started explaining how the price has gone up recently,bezel and dial is made of platinum blah blah blah. I wasn;t paying much attention seriously as I was busy "feeling" the watch.I was particularly aiming to feel the gen bracelet but damn..its got a shrink wrap all over it.I ask politely whether I could try without a shrink wrap and he said "by all means" Great..so I put in on and the bracelet feels tight ..just like WM YM bracelet out of the box to my surprise.The crown on the clasp looks a bit thinner and sharper on the gen.I didn't asked what series is it but he said its the latest and has RolexRolex engraving on it. The dial looks more whitish and Rolex font looks bigger..maybe its new series/lighting I don't know.WM YM rolex fonts feel smaller.ONE THING that is very noticable when I feel the watch is the case back bezel/teeth.On the gen,its very smooth. Anyone knows how to make the rep caseback bezel/teeth feels smoother??? After a mere 10% off ..the watch still retails at $7350! I handed the watch back to him and said i will consider and get back to him.After thanking him and got in my car,I took out my WM YM and put it on.All I can say is the WM YM has the gen like feel all over it ( minus the caseback bezel teeth) and one doesn;t have to fork out 7 over grand to own it Cheers!!!

Mine arrived with a scratch on top of the IWC wording inside the crystal. Duely returned for a new one

Hi all, I am thinking of getting a black alligator strap with white thread or full black) to replace the currentone on my Panda. Possible to find one with a square end just like the original strap? Roughly how much I should pay and where to get it?.Pics would be much appreciated.Thanks and cheers!

Seems like it happens everywhere in the world.Fedex is really crap...there are taxes for my shirt, golf clubs, ring you name it,let alone watches. Never happen before on UPS and DHL parcel... FEDEX

Nice!! Especially after the bracelet swapped. Saw one if I am not mistaken is the same dial in wo-mart but the bracelet finishing looks bit off compared to other dealers. I just want a piece just like yours...nice excellent dial,correct thickness and superb bracelet. The original bracelet that came together with wacth is it of inferior quality? Thanks....

Hi guys, Good day to ya'll.This is my 1st post and if I you guys gonna flame me..go easy ok? I have been digging for info in the search section on the Royal Oak but no fruitful return.I am interested in the basic 2824 Royal Oak blue or white dial with ss screw bezel.I have browsed through few dealers website and noticed a few things: the font on the dial "Automatic" is different,the bracelet is also of different quality hence the AP button on the clasp also varies. I just one a simple 2824 royal oak with current thickness (8mm??) , fine details and excellent bracelet.(I know GEN has it but...oh well )So fellow AP RO fans,will you give this NOOB a hand?
