  1. I just bought a new watch cheap. The Eastern European I bought it from told me it was left to him by a rich uncle. Unfortunately he doesn't have the papers or box. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

  3. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/gang-snatch-100-000-wristwatch-183358887.html I couldn't imagine losing a £100,000 watch. Either they had been watching the person for some time, or it was a setup by an inside person.
  4. It's not that rare I've seen these come up for sale often. The price is a bit much though, if he gets it more power to him.

  6. That's a damn shame. However, the buyer should have done more research. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

  9. I love eBay, there are great deals to be found if you know what to look for. My main reason for joining this forum was to increase my knowledge on what to look for in replicas. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  10. It must happen countless times everyday. eBay is horrible at taking down counterfeit auctions. That are only moved to action when threatened by a manufacturer. It would be nice to E-mail the bidders and tell them, that the watch is a replica. Than again how many would believe you, they would think you wanted the watch for yourself.
  11. I second that on finding RWG. This site has taught me a tonne about replicas. I have also gotten some great deals on straps. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  12. I guess her husband never told her he bought a replica.

  16. Very nice collection of vintage PAMs. I love the style of their vintage watches.
  17. No they aren't worth much, unless you find someone who collects Pioneers. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  18. Pioneer was produced by Gunziner Gebruder AG, Welschenrohr, Cormoret, Neuchatel, Switzerland. The Pioneer model was imported to the US by Henry Ginnel & Co, New York. Unfortunately, I can't tell you more than that. I have a couple of Pioneer pocket watches. With a little love they run as well as the day they were made. I am surprised that the movement is adjusted for 5 positions. Whether it's a good movement depends on the condition. From what I see this one is in pretty good shape. I don't see any rust spots on the movement itself.
  19. If it's a Förster it is a bi-directional automatic movement. I am not sure about the earlier movements, but you could find that information at the following two sites: http://www.christophlorenz.de/watch/movements/e/eta/index.php?l=en http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&a&2uswk Dr. Ranfft has an excellent archive with great information on thousands of movements.
  20. ERMI was owned by Ernst Mitschele from Pforzheim. He was primarily an assembler, using ETA and Forster movements.
  21. I didn't know Sephora did that. The stores near me don't carry that great of a selection, and from what I can remember their prices are not that great. The few times I have gone to Sephora they were way under staffed. The line went out the door and I couldn't find any help. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
