  1. Checked and responded! LOL Thanks projectologist, this will help out alot!
  2. Giant and Pete, I got a reply from a fellow in EU saying he has a dial and a few other parts that he would be willing to sell me. However, he would like for me to gift him the money because I am new here. I have read that this is never a good idea unless it is someone that you have already done business with. I would not want to just send someone money that is out of the country without knowing anything about them either! This member also stated that he is a reputable member on Rep Geek. Are either one of you members on that forum? I will be receiving pics from him on the parts, but don't want to send this guy money without some kind of conformation that he is legit.
  3. Hello all, I have a rep 116660 sea dweller that I have an opportunity to put gen parts on. I have a friend that has a gen face, date wheel, hands, bracelet, crown, etc. Is it possible that these things will fit on a rep? This will be the first time I am trying this, so I don't know if I need to mod anything for fit. Thanks
  4. Noted, I saw some previous 202A's that sold on here from before. Some very nice examples of what possible indeed! It's good that I'm going to have to piece this together over time, I have some purchases I want to make between now and then. This damn time telling habit LOL!
  5. Extremely nice! Is the power reserve dial functional? Have been looking for a good Big Pilot rep for awhile. Does your user name suggest you live in San Diego? If so, should you decide to sell this piece, let me know! I can pick it up locally! :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  6. Beautiful watch, I have always been a fan of IWC! Wear it well!
  7. Hello all, I recently purchased my first rep, and I must say I enjoy it very much! I bought it from a friend who gave me a pretty good price. I did some research and it has many of the ingredients to make it hard to spot (at least in my somewhat untrained eyes). It has a SS bracelet that I'm not crazy about, but looks ok. The sandwich dial looks pretty good, however the lume (as is with most reps) glows like a torch for about two minutes then starts to fade. The movement looks to be a ETA 6497 with proper looking dagger and swans neck. The Officine Panerai marking on the movement is engraved and not a sticker as well! However the more I read here on the forum, when I though I knew.....I hadn't a clue LOL! I guess my question is, how can I tell what kind of rep it is? I have seen many different ones (ie noob, H, M...etc.) on this forum, and am curious now. I am considering getting it modded by one of the reputable guys here, such as relume, waterproofing, etc. I would also like to get it serviced just in case as well. I will post some pics later because my iphone pictures are not that great (I want to post quality pics so you guys get a good view). Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions you guys have. For the short time I have been a member, it seems like there are quite a few VERY knowledgeable members here. In addition, it would appear there are an abundance of reputable sources to feed the need. Maybe I made a mistake becoming a member, I may be parting with more money very soon! Respectfully, Will
  8. Thanks for the info PeteM! I will start sourcing all the parts and post this in the WTB section as well. Gianton was saying its pretty hard, but not impossible, to find the dial. He said it took him around six months to source it LOL! However, it is a BEAUTIFUL watch.....and I must have it. Where did you finally find yours?
  9. Thanks for the info gianton....am now on the search for the dial LOL!
  10. Hello all, I would like to buy a FGD 202A dial, if anyone has one please let me know how much and I will PM you my email! Thanks to gianton, I now am on a mission LOL!!!! Thanks
  11. Hello gianton, I am new to this forum (actually, this is my first post) and stumbled across you thread. I absolutely love this PAM!!!! I was wondering if you could give me some information on how to go about acquiring this piece as you did? I have a few PAM's in my collection, but nothing like this!
