Josh's Panerai 251 Daylight - Near Perfect?
trustywatchguy replied to Craytonic's topic in General Discussion
I am CONFUSED. So which one is correct? "TACHYMETRE" or TACHYMETER" Seems like even Panerai got it wrong on their genuines... =P -
Guys, Apologies for the post earlier. I saw the wrong album and apparently the Vintage Subs, SDs are MBW quality. 100% true. As for the Sub 16610 and SD 16600, they are quite normal. =) Thanks Andrew
-
Guys, Apologies to all as I saw the wrong photo album.. =P I did not see that there were 2 different photo albums. The Vintage Watches on: http://s85.photobucket.com/albums/k53/watc...20watches/1680/ is MBW quality definitely. The reason for the sureness is the THICK Tropic crystal which is not found on the other watches. As for the 16600 and 16610, the quality is OK.. =) Have fun!

For Singapore, Stay in Raffles Hotel Singapore if your savings allow. Ritz carlton is also nice. Places to visit: SENTOSA (A little island offshore but connected to mainland) ORCHARD ROAD (Shopping area - not comparable to Hong Kong) MOUNT FABER HILL for a nice drink at night to see the night view) ...

My NEXT Advertisement: OMEGA PLANET OCEAN with 22mm SS Bracelet - Swiss ETA Buy a TOY PIANO and RECEIVE the Omega Planet Ocean FREE... =P -
Dear guys, There is actually nothing wrong with TTK at all... Ask yourself.. if the fully operational Omega Planet Ocean was opened and in the end the entire thing konks out and died..Dial fall out of position, spacer shifted, Date window jammed..etc. Then you will be hating yourself and I can guess that for most, the next move is to email the dealer whom it was bought from and tell the dealer this... "I got the Omega Planet Ocean today... it arrived ok, I adjusted the crown... think the Dial shifted, date jammed...movement getting a little worrying...etc etc.." I have received this kind of emails many many times and out of goodwill repaired them at my cost for customers. I do not mistrust the customers and always give them the benefit of the doubt but my watchsmith has told me many times that most (About 70%) of those spolit watches on arrival sometimes are due to customers jamming up the Asia 7750 movements, fiddling with movements (Fingerprint evidence on Rotor movement, stem was shifted obviously). Honestly, if you are not a qualified watchsmith, refrain from doing all those operations.. it will cause unneccesary trouble to all.. not only you but the dealers. I dont play around with movements myself although I am qualified to install movements and refit dials on movements... they are very delicate items..mind you Andrew

Some Advice To All Customers ... Not Only Mine
trustywatchguy replied to trustywatchguy's topic in General Discussion
One thing I have to admit was the SHOCK some customers had when they received in their packages a TOY PIANO instead of their watches. They emailed me to question what I was doing and in actual fact. the watch was hidden in the little TOY PIANO.. Think some customers can testify this shocking find.. -

Spring Loaded Crowns... I know indeed but if they do that now... can you imagine all the current stocks with no SPRING LOADED crowns?? =P -
Dear fellow forum board members, As all of you know, recently the China customs has been hard on all of us. I have also received information from other dealers whom I speak to that places elsewhere is also facing a big crackdown on IP (Intellectual Property). Most EMS, DHL packages will have to be slightly delayed due to that. Let me share with you the facts on what is actually happening... ALL EMS Courier and DHL/FEDEX Packages which exit China will now have to be EXTRA careful. We (Dealers operating in China) will have to wait for BEST TIME to exit the packages safely to you guys so that you will receive you items with no problems. BEST TIME sometimes can mean that packages will wait for about 48-72 hours before it board the next plane to you. Other packages sometimes will be re-routed using a different tracking number because customs reject packages just at CHINA Customs Exit area. We have to re-pack them and put on NEW EMS Tracking Number. Personally, I have done many things recently to improve the situation and I can also safely say all dealers in here are also trying their best (WE ALWAYS DO!) to get items to you. For all my EMS and DHL/FEDEX packages, I have tied down with my forwarders that they WILL ONLY get back to me with TRACKING NUMBERS after they SAFELY EXIT your packages. This is a 99% sure way that your item is OUT of CUSTOMS before I send you the tracking. Sometimes, tracking number will not show on website online tracking service because our forwarders have their direct contacts with EMS to check (via phone). The Online service tracking is not reliable, i must say. =P I have also used PRIVATE COURIER Service for some packages (esp. EU countries) recently to step up the movement of my purchases from customers. I have to spend more time and money... and I hope you guys can appreciate that. Spoken to Joshua, TTK and Eddie recently and we sincerely seek your kind understanding on this issue. Have fun, guys ANDREW

My advice: Get the PAM111H Swiss Unitas Swan Neck... or maybe the PAM127 in Swiss Unitas 6497 swan neck. They are the old time favs..

SAM268, Be VERY GLAD you are here and able to save your money buying things cheap here and from TRUSTED Dealers. Try getting the replicas from elsewhere and probably you will not get anything...no goods and money lost too. SELLERS like us have our own risk too... Rest my case.

Just Some Words From The Bottom Of Our Hearts
trustywatchguy replied to trustywatchguy's topic in General Discussion
Bigsy... This is definitely no sales ploy. I wouldnt even post at all to need to make extra sales. To be honest, these days, I have been busy with switching to designing my own watches and thinking of manufacturing them and then selling them. If I write all those to get sales, I think you are definitely getting the wrong side of the picture. I do not want to say anymore.. I am just enjoying my weekend with my kids who deserve my time this weekend. Thanks! Andrew -
Dear guys, I have been lurking in the forums recently and I think I really want to take some time to say something which I feel very strong for. I have been trading for almost 4-5 years now even before RWG 1 started. Till today, I have moved on to creating a website to sell watches to fellow members and to anyone who love the hobby of collecting replica watches.. From RWG 1 to RWG 2 and with TRC, RWI and WT still around, members are starting to take things for granted. Everytime when there are new watches which are launched, members do not really appreciate how hard the makers and how hard we dealers source to get you the watches.. instead posts like.. "Wait for 2nd version...3rd version" will surface and all in all, everyone just hold their horses and we will see people scrutinise the entire watch for quality checks. For god's sake... that is a replica watch. Why is everyone treating this like a genuine watch? I have seen makers who tried hard to create some watches but despair at the way the sales went. To me, I am not directly affected as I do not make the watches. I take from them to sell... but without good sales, the makers will lose money and in the end..down the pipeline.. every time the maker wants to make another new replica, they will think twice. Just my 2 cents worth.. Members nowadays also think we dealers are living a high life selling replicas. Let me tell you guys that the situation over here in China is getting from bad to worse. Suppliers and Dealers like us are now HIT in this supply chain... Authorities are checking packages going out from China and worse of all, we keep losing money to lost packages to customs due to worldwide strict customs due to pressure from the US government on Intell. rights. Personally, I have lost about USD2000 last week because of this... I know it's the risks we have inherent to this trade but customers I have do not understand and start to accuse me of not sending the items even after I explain clearly what happened. Sorting centers have been closed and remaining ones are very strict on checks. Bribery is so common just to get packages out. =P The money from this risky trade will never be able to cover the kind of risks I, EL, Jos, TTK and other dealers are taking. We risk being thrown behind bars, face sentences..fines..etc. I am not venting any anger but just sharing from a dealer's point of view. Spoken to some dealers recently and seems customs problems is pretty vast and common nowadays.. wholesalers I know are also facing the same problems.. Thanks for hearing and have a nice weekend. Ciao Andrew

Hong Kong indeed is a haven for GENUINE watches. it is by far the best place to buy a genuine watch and the price is definitely the BEST. HK was voted as BEST Place in the world for Swiss Watches purchase. =) I go to HK every year... just to see.. no money to buy! =P Andrew
