  1. Thinking about building a Tudor. 7032. Problem is these 7734 movements are becoming rare and more expensive. So I thought about buying a watch with a Poljot 3133 movement that should be almost identical given the fact that the Russians bought all the machinery and tools from Switzerland.

Any ideas? You think it is worth a try? Poljot watches with these movements are out there in abundance and can be had between 80 and 200 € in almost new condition.

  2. Case is from eBay. It is a sterile case without markings between the lugs, and with a wrong case back. The satin finish is pretty bad but I meanwhile touched it up and it looks a lot better now. The crown guards  are supposed to be the square variety. They are wrong but in fact the square crown guard version of that watch is so rare that you can hardly find pictures in the internet so I don't really care.

The good thing is the case takes a gen rolex crown without changing the tube. Will see about other gen parts.

I had a TC crown left so I used this one.

    Movement is Swiss ETA 7750.

    Hands and dial are Yuki.

Now I am desperately looking for an engraved Tudor case back as the Yuki one is no longer available.

There are many flaws with the watch but overall I think it is still credible at arms length.

  3. I also have entirely stopped buying m2m other then parts. Most of the watches I bought m2m were a mechanical nightmare. They looked well on the outside but were practically not maintainable (I am talking glue, stripped threads...etc.). I guess there are some guys out there with true watchmaking skills but many (myself included) just suck on building watches. I never made a big fuzz about it and then again it was never to an extent that I felt scammed or something. But I have drawn my consequences.
