  1. Ummmmm..........I think I'll just leave it closed. Thanks all
  2. No, but on his website and threads. he has his "contact me" e-mail address which I have tried with 3 e-mails. I know he is around because he reponded to someone's a thread the other day (different topic). Since he does not have a "conventional" website to order from, I didn't know if there was a protocol I was not following> Thanks
  3. Indenial. I am just jelous. What in . Where did you get it (Is this what BNIB is?)
  4. I have e-mailed 3 times last week, PM on this board and responded to a thread he was on. No sign of life All I am trying to do is but a watch from him but I think I am going about the wrong way. Does anyone have a recommendation for me to get Neil's attention on a watch I desperatly want from him? Thanks!! Update 3/26 I tried an e-mail with the watch # in subject line and worked. Neil got right back. Thanks all
  5. 2.2 inches (fully erect). I will post pictures later
  6. 1900 is too good. How do you know it is real????? Why would anyone sell this at 1900?
  7. Andrew and Josh are usually very responcive but i would imagine Fed ex is not his usual method and since he does not ship them (his suppliers do), he probably is at the mercy of how they can get to fed ex etc. Most are done EMS. I would not worry with these boys. they will get it done.
  8. I am stupid as I can't figure out how to deploy divers extension. i don't dive and don't need it but love to [censored] with me toy!
  9. Woa: please expand. i have yet to hear a story of someone getting "busted" buying one of these through the net. Please tell me what the stories are?
  10. Negative. I click on the "Vote for..." and have no success. No worries, I will look up on Tag's site
  11. Craytonic, do you have a pic of the watch you desire? the lnk you posted does not work.
  12. I am going to get the SMP rep (decided with all your help). But now debating from who? I assumed Josh's and Andrew were the exact same watch (same factory etc) but in looking at the product description, it appears the size is different. Andrews says 42.5 and 14 thick and Joshs says 41 and 12 thick. Do you think this is an oversight n one of their part or are they different? Which is more accurate and why would they be different if movement is the same. Second, Andrew says he has light AR on crystal. Both appear to have same pearl and alignment issue. Is there another SMP out there that is better than these? As a wildhair, Highflyingclive loves this),I like Andrews SMP GMT but it has solid caseback and my understanding is the gen has a display caseback. Josh has the GMT with display caseback but has gold movement vs silver color as gen has. Anyone know if the GEN SMP GMT comes with a solid caseback? This might be a good option if gen has solid as well as I like the red in the dial and SMP is pretty common. Thanks in advance!
  13. Looks like he did some bad mods on her. Her CGs and face are clearly overworked
  14. Teejay. great job! I think the rubber strap is a great look for the beach, pool and other outside activities. As Bond proved in the latest movie, I think he was wearing the PO45 with a rubber strap in theater
  15. I thought I would start this by askin a few of questions. 1.When did the reps "turn the corner" and get to where they are are today? I mean, until a year ago I always assumed a rolex rep was to be purchased in mexico or on canal street and you did good if you did not have a quartz movement. BTW, who ever heard of a Chopard rep as well?? I think this is why most people believe rolexs are reps (it is the only rep made in their mind) 2. Do you think the gen manufactures and dealers are aware of how good the reps have become? Sound like when a dealer is told its a rep they are surprised. 3. Have they gotten too good and thus getting on the "radar" of the Gens who may try to shut our boys down? There is part of me that is buying a bunch or reps now because I fear the window can't last forever. In otherwords. I believe the reps have gotten to this excellent level just in the last couple of years with China opening up for trade. But at this level the officials will try to shut them down. 4. Can we keep these babies our secret? The top end reps our dealers are putting out will fool the general public 99% of the time and I don't want anyone else in on our secret. 5. Finally, are we at any risk buying these things? Has anyone had any issue in any way? 6. what the best deal on a watch case that will hold up to 20?? Thanks! Thanks
  16. Epoch: What was the reuslt of the AD when he noticed? Did he get into it or was he [censored]? Not that it matters but curious. I dont think the generagl public, let alone dealers have any clue how good some of the reps are in the market these days. Can we keep this to ourselves?? I don't want anyone else playing in our little secret
  17. Epoch: Right on. Talk about a God given gift! By the way nice poses as well. If the face is 1/10 the rest fo the package she needs to get in the modeling business if not already. Sq_pl how about a face shot? Understand why not. But...any watch she has on WILL SELL
  18. Ah. Pehaps I used the wrong term (as usual). It appears there is the ability to add "additional seals"? I picked up on this from Josh's and Andrew's web site and waterproofing services Perfect SuB: "Waterproofing : Additional seals are add on and watch is pressure tested to 5 bars... 50m waterproofing.." Waterproofing ($50): "Watch will be pre-test...Additional seals will be added to ensure the watch withstand pressue testing of 5 atm.. 50 meters... Methods of Testing : Dry Pressure Chamber Method.. " On Andrew's site is says for his "perfect sub" it say: "Additional Seals and gaskets are added and watch is pressure tested to 5 bars and tested to 45m waterproof" Just seems alot of money for something that may be an easy "mod" the only problem is no dry testing tool. It would have to be "field tested".
  19. I have noticed some dealers advertise wterproofing upgrades. Some say they add additional gaskets/seals etc. After opening my first rep (older LV from Andrew) I noticed there was only a thin rubber ring around caseback and a small ring around crown. Do ther dealers actually add additional rings or do they use larger rings to get a better seal? or do they typically just grease the existing rings? Where does one get these gaskets/rings if they want a new or thicker ring? Can you get a thicker ring or is that a no no? Anyhow, now that I have opened "pandora's box" I might as well learn how to clean and seal these things. Any advise would be appreciated. By the way. No need for the perverbial "these are just reps and you should never wear in the water" posts. I am aware of this and am trying to take mine to the next level. I also think the reps of today have a better chance of sealing. What is the huge difference here once you pop one open in terms of gaining the seal? Oh, I forgot about the crystal seal....yikes. Thanks!
  20. TeeJay: you should post a pic. I like the ss strap on these so will probably not go resin. Your pic of watch may sway me otherwise though
  21. Pugwash: "Idol"? You mean America Idol or someother similar? Never heard of her. Cjeffers58: Opps BTW did not intend this thread to get "hardcore"....Sorry boys
  22. Alt. was. obsess: I had the same thought on Joe's signature. I was hoping he would pipe in but Pugwash solved the mystery as I figured it was from a movie or something. That "tart" is Hot ( I believe tart to be proper in this case, if not let me have it again) As far as the PP 24. I did some research on the dealers and believe Andrew's to be the best based on pics. I also looked into gens from Patek's web site and this model comes in SS so the rep would be true to form in terms of weight. They also have white gold models in gen but weight would be dead giveaway. I also think the caseback and clasp is differnet on gen. caseback on gen is clean with no engraving (from what I found on web). Seems odd that a rep would go to the trouble of caseback engraving etc if gen had non but go figure. Also clasp is rounded on gen where rep has more square clasp. Mmaybe someone can set us straight on the caseback and clasp. I think the dealers and Sql_PL should get together and market watches based on his GF pics with watches on. Both mens and womens! I am positive they would sell alot of pieces!!Looks like Andrew might get a few orders on the PP 24. Pugwash, looks like there might be a few google searches on our friend Reon Kadena and the movie Virginity. Good work!
  23. NRG: you are correct. It is the attitude that counts. I should add that I have been unshaven, constipated and wear no pants or underwear into the dealers. I will change this tactic going forward...good advice. By-tor: I agree completely. I don't think anyone should bring reps to dealers with the intent to challange, fool or brag about it being a rep. Just stupid with no positive result. My point was sometimes if you have a high end watch on, you get a little more attention (at least in Scottsdale). I also think the risk of passively wearing a good rep in a dealer is overblown (in terms of confiscation). That was my point of the post; to find out if anyone actually had an "incident". Thanks all. Fun reading.
