  1. Hey andreww, long time no see. Still a Breitling fan?

What are you having in your collection these days? Still buying reps?

Still love Breitling, not a fan of what they’ve done recently. I really stopped participating in reps about six years ago, then switched to an Apple Watch two years ago. It wasn’t until this past Christmas that I got my first rep in many years, a Ti Hublot Diver 4000. So my collection is pretty much the same as when we last spoke lol.

    Hello everybody.

I'm still getting notifications and thus I'm visiting from time to time.
But I must say my life has changed totally since I got sober (5 years ago) and broke (2 years ago) !

The brotherhood of RWG helped me a lot 2 years ago when I couldn't even imagine having a simple job back.
You guys gave me a couple of watches and hundreds of euros that kept me alive till I found a job.

I'm back on track, a radio presenter job during nights and weekends, still sober, publishing a blog about my alcoholism.
I earn a very nice income, live in a nice flat and eat more than enough.
I don't have the financial power to buy reps (and certainly not gens), but I'm more into spiritual living than I was before, so all is fine.

Great to have news from you guys !

    Keep safe,
    Stephane

Glad to hear you’re doing better Stephane. Alcohol is a killer. Though I really have never had a problem with it, as I got older I really couldn’t stand the hangovers which always resulted in a very unproductive next day. Now I drink very rarely, which fits in with my new healthy lifestyle. I’ve lost about 25% of the body weight that I had 10 years ago and I feel great. Lifting weights every day and eating healthy has made me a different man.

We won’t talk about my run-in with the huge brown bear yesterday. default_shock.gif

I took the dogs up the trail to do the hike around Mt. Baldy. Parked the Rover and we all got out, I locked it and we started uphill toward the trail and the dogs alerted, hackled up and took off up across the ditch just as a BIG brown bear stuck his head up and turned to look. He was maybe 20 yards away in deep grass and alders. I hollered HEY then STOP! and both dogs did! Color me amazed. They looked at me as the bear jumped up and started moving past me, right to left, maybe 15 yards away on a tangent. I called the dogs as I watched him and he came down across the ditch onto the trail just as the dogs got back to the Rover, I was between him and the dogs thinking “this is not good” then I opened the door and the dogs jumped in! I watched him as he walked down the trail like Big Booty Judy, then turned up into the trees again. Wow. Big bear.

No bears in Toronto, but I was attacked by a red winged blackbird yesterday as I was out for a lunchtime walk. Little bastard blindsided me, grabbed my hair, and pecked the back of my head lol. Scarred the [censored] out of me lol 😂

Well well well, good to see another olde friend......How have

I’ve been very well. Although I still love watches, my Apple Watch is just so useful, I wear it to work everyday. I have recently begun to wear my mechanical watches during leisure time and am starting to get the urge to buy something new.

unfortunately my company blocked RWG, so I kind of just drifted away. Breitling has kind of lost its way in recent years, and I really haven’t seen anything else that has really excited me either, but I still browse occasionally, and the Titanium Hublot King Diver is really calling my name. A weak Canadian dollar however makes it a $700 watch, maybe more than I want to spend. We’ll see lol 😝

Other than that, I’ve been doing bodybuilding for the past nine years, still enjoy tinkering with old cars, playing lots of guitar, and looking forward to some golf when this pandemic ends.

Good to see all the familiar names again!

  5. Just because nobody says anything, does not mean people didn't notice it. I notice watches every day and never say a word. But first of all, he picks about the least ostentatious watch on the planet. I would think if he'd picked an Avenger, Panera, Graham or Hublot, the reaction he would have gotten would be quite different. I think its quite noble that so many people buy watches for their own enjoyment, but personally I think thats a crock. People like to be noticed, there is nothing wrong with that.
