  1. Those where other times. Cowboys did not need permits to carry guns, they just went in a store and bought one. I believe that persons that are thoroughly checked and proved themselves that they are stable and responsible enough to carry a firearm should be able to do that, yes. If someone with a concealed weapon permit was in that theater, he could have changed the outcome. Even if it was one victim less, it would have been one grieving family less.

  2. What does the weapon policy have to do with it? If he really wanted to kill, he would have found a way, weapons or not. I live in a very restricted country (belgium) concerning guns, and I can tell you that the same [censored] happens here (crazy person stabbing babies in a childcare center a few years ago comes to mind). You can buy illegal weapons after a quick search easily enough, no law is going to change that. I believe in a certain qoute: "An armed society is a polite society".

    Either way, it's a tragedy.

  3. I don't have a safe at the bank nor in my home. Then again, I only have rep's and a few minus 800usd gen's. Those are just lying on a padded shelf in the closet near my bed. All my doors and windows are under alarm though, and I'm pretty determined to cause serious bodily harm to the first person that I encounter in my house at night (that doesn't belong in my house of course, that's an important part -_-').

  4. Hmm... There exist a genuine pvd flyback which is a special edition and costs 25K

Now I am trying to find a decent rep :D

Did you find anything? I'm also looking for a Flyback chrono for daily usage but I much prefer the DLC/PVD versions to the regular ones, even if a genuine one is non-existing or very uncommon.

I've found some cheap looking one's (some even quartz) but no decent one's with the trusted dealers.

  5. I'm going to take a guess here as I'm still new at rep's (and not afraid to admit it unlike you) but I assume the reason your PO bezel is a different color is because it's just an old one. It looks pretty much like the one on my first (70$) rep.

Also, honestly, it kind of bothers me that you're so stubborn about your "knowledge". You're the kind of person I could never be friends with IRL. No offense of course, everyone is different.

  6. I had the same idea, switched the original steel bracelet with a leather one a few minutes ago. Bought the leather strap on ebay, and the deployant buckle here on RWG. I love it, the leather is comfortable and doesn't have the discomfort of having the excess strap catching on to everything. Be careful when opening the deployant if you change the strap though, there are small springs inside and one of them shot across the room. It took me a couple of minutes to retrieve it -_-'

  7. Hello. Apologies if there's already a thread about this, a quick search gave me nothing.

So, I will be receiving my first decent replica tomorrow (42mm PO swiss Ult.) and am planning on keeping it in tiptop shape. I recently read a thread on WUS about real Omega's, and it was mentioned that it's recommended to only adjust the time between 08:00 pm and 02:00 AM. Does this apply to the reps as well?

    Thanks for reading.

  8. Thank you for the link. Bought one as well as I have a 42 mm PO inbound with a leather strap since it wasn't available with a rubber strap as option. These are significantly cheaper than those sold by the trusted dealer, do you believe these are of lesser quality?

  9. Sure, don't mind. I won it at 420€ / 563USD. It's very reasonable I believe. The strap is already repaired (it's only a missing pin, and I needed to remove a link anyway) and the scratches can be mostly worked away. Glass is free of scratches and so far it seems to work well (only had it since this morning). There's another one being offered, ending in a few hours from now and that one is already at 600€ / 805USD, although it's in a slightly better condition.
