I replaced the springbars on my SFSO because one of the end links was a bit loose, used 22mm x 1.8mm straight bars and now its a nice snug fit.
Hope that helps.

I really like it! I didn't know PT was offering the SMP with the more relistic sunken pearl like on the UPO and SMP Chrono. Looks great
I'm not sure if the missing marker at 3 o'clock would really bother me or not, but I guess a dial swap is always possible??
-
The lume on my UPO is very good immediately after charging, but like most reps it fades pretty quick, remains readable for only about 15 minutes. Not that big an issue for me but if you want to able to read the time through the night you will need a re-lume.

I know this has been brought up before but i need some mods done to some watches by someone in EU as customs issues have become a real headache beyond EU borders.
I know we had some established members here on the board but would like to know if there are any new ones and also if those we had still offer such services.
Please contact asap if anyone can help.
Thanks in advance and best to all

that is a $$$ option though. Isn't it.
I mean for a 5 or 10k watch, why not but for a 1.5K ???
But for an Omega, where you can a used one under $1k, is it worth spending another $200 for the bezel just to get the insert, more or less the pearl?I agree and wouldn't go down that avenue.. far too much money to spend on a mod for a relatively cheap watch. I'll keep an eye on ebay for the insert, but I haven't come across one yet.
PS: If someone could provide those spare SMP chrono rep inserts, I'd buy two.I'd be in for one as well!

Here in Spain tru zorros like me dont wear t-shirts very often.
The warmth and softness of women like Maria or Lusia is ok for a zorro.

Senor, You see you too can be a zorro like me.
Does anyone else think that would make a great t-shirt?

If you happen to be wearing a non waterproofed dress watch when you decide to take a shower do you swap it for one that is shower proof? :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Just one small additional correction.
Hello and good day!
My name is Steven Meredith and I

Maybe its just me, I can understand why people would want to wear a watch while swimming/diving but in the shower??

Only issue left then is the Datewheel alignment the OP mentions...
Date wheel alignment on mine is fine, probably just a one off.

Has anyone ordered a ETA rep and found that it has a Stelita ETA knockoff movement inside?
The watch was advertsed with a swiss ETA inside.
I bought my Ultimate PO about 5 months ago and to the best of my recollection it was advertised as having a Swiss ETA movement. When I received it I checked the movement and because I didn't know better and the movement looked like an ETA, I assumed that's what it was. It was only when another thread on this topic was posted, cant remember if was here or TRC, but it caused me to have another look and sure enough my ETA is a Selita SW200. That said the movement has worked flawlessly and keeps great time and as its Swiss I don't consider it a problem, I'd be happy to have another rep with this movement installed.

With a gen insert that would be a very good rep! Nice photo's as always Stephane, wear it well.
Would you have to buy a complete bezel - http://www.ofrei.com/page663.html - or is there somewhere you can buy just the insert?
-
It works, just remove all the stuff before http://ttwristwatch
Nope, that doesn't work for me either.

1.8mm diameter 22mm long should do you.
I got some for my rubber strap (which are the same thickness as the ones in my bracelet) from www.watchbattery.co.uk
Bigpops, thanks for that. Good prices too, my local watchmaker just quoted me

Just took the bracelet off my Ultimate PO to swap with a leather strap and found the spring bars are two different thicknesses, so much for QC. This explains why one end of the bracelet seemed a loose fit in the lugs, so now I need to buy some new ones. Can anyone tell me what size spring bars I need to get to fit the steel bracelet for this watch and maybe where I can get some in UK.
Thanks for any help.

Good spot Pix, hope we caught it in time, hate to think that some poor soul pays $1200 for that POS.

http://cgi.ebay.com/MONT-BLANC-Timewalker-...1QQcmdZViewItem
All's wrong : faux chrono, dial, white datewheel, crown, lugs, markings and rotor logo... and of course an Asian 21J...
Any idea to prevent someone paying 1000 dollars for a 50 dollars rep ??

Very slow for me too since the upgrade, 8 mb cable connection in the UK.

Thanks for the original info Pix and your expert advice The Zigmeister! Much appreciated

I've been talking to one of the dealers about a Mont Blanc Timewalker Chronograph with a genuine Swiss 7753 movement.
My question is, do the genuine installed movements have any of the same issues as the A7750? Pix very kindly informed me of an article The Zigmeister wrote regarding the issues of changing the date on the gen installed 7753s, but so far I've been unable to find it. Can anyone fill me in on this?
Any help appreciated!

I emailed him a week or so ago and he mentioned that he was out and about travelling, so perhaps he's just away for a few days.

Sorry for this question, but I can't decide. Which dealer can You recommend to buy PO 45mm black with white numerals, Precious Time, Ruby, Angus, Andrew??
As you appear to be in Europe you might want to get one from Precious Time to minimize customs risk, price may be a little higher though.

It has 3 extra gears to move the 12 o'clock subdial, down to the 3 o'clock position.
However, it has been said by our resident watch maker The Zigmeister, that these gears don't place and significant extra stress on the movement. It's the watches where the seconds hand is moved down to 6 where you have to use caution.
I'm also in the group buy, and this will be my first Asian 7750 based watch in 2 1/2 years of collecting.
I've had a look through The Zigmeister's posts and haven't come across any reference to this, any chance you could post a link to a breakdown/review that covers these extra gears, I just want to reassure myself before I commit.
Thanks

I think it's just the preview, the price when it's re-released will probably be around the $100US mark
