  1. Thank you! I actually use to own a Revisors but I JUST sold it to a friend! When I would strop my old Revisor blade, I felt like it was was softer than Dovo blades and would therefore strop much faster than other blades that I've owned.
  2. AOR has some decent stuff for sure. I really like their sandalwood aftershave. Here's the the straight razor that I received today. It's almost a piece of jewelry.
  3. I've been straight razor shaving for a while and just like watches, it's addicting. Anyway, I've been lusting after a specific straight razor and I finally pulled the trigger on it. This is a Dovo Bergischer Lowe. It's a carbon steel blade (made in Solingen Germany) with a Spanish style point and has a dark handle made of buffalo's horn and 24k gold plated trim. Gorgeous and a great shaver! I can't wait to get it! I'll post some pics when I get it, even though this isn't a shaving forum. I got the second visible one from the left.
  4. If his bezel is loose, that doesn't mean yours will be. I have a V4 Skyland and the bezel feels tight and crisp.
  5. My V2 wolf arrived today and it looks beautiful. I'm not going to do a review of it right now, but I wanted you guys to see some wrist shots. First one is kind of grainy, sorry!
  6. You should buy a genuine Rolex on credit and then send it to them. Then when they don't tell you that you've sent them a genuine watch, sue their ass for extortion.
  7. I think it's awesome! Im having a wood worker make me a box made of African Blackwood. Do you think you could line and partition the inside of my box (3x2 partition) with a dark blue velvet interior? Of course compensation would be in order...let me know if this is something that you think you might be interested in doing.
  8. There's a time and place for straight razor shaving. I have a safety razor as well and I use that if I am hard pressed for time. I only shave about once a week though so I'm usually able to take my time and get a nice straight razor shave in on the weekends.
  9. I've really been considering getting one of these for a while: If you're going to straight razor shave, you want a blade from solingen germany. there are some really friendly forums where tons of people would be more than happy to square anyone willing to listen away
  10. I think when I order my next rep I'm definitely in a request that they show me three. I just want to push the boundaries a little bit see what happens you know?
  11. Does anyone here shave with a straight razor? I've been shaving with a straight razor for a year and I absolutely love it. You know how watches are an addition? Oh man, so are straights!
  12. Marti, that's the post that I was referring to. I'm not really knowledgable on the mechanical aspect of the movement, so I was basing my knowledge off of that thread as well. This is why I advised him to ask for a different piece. Either way, I just accepted a movement with 318 so whatev =]
  13. The amplitude is a little high...I think you want less than 270. There's a thread in the main forum that says what the amplitude does but I think the dude that wrote it recommended you get watches with an amplitude thats less than 270... I just accepted a V2 wolf that had an amplitude of 318 and if I knew that you want less than 270, I probably would have asked for a different one. Other then that though, everything looks good to me.
  14. I really like the interior. If I gave you the dimensions, could you make me an interior partition like you have?
  15. This is good to know. I'll definitely keep this in mind. I'm looking for a replica rolls royce =]
  16. http://www.bonanza.com/listings/Breitling-Pro-II-2-Bracelet-22mm-Brushed-for-AIRWOLF-SKYRACER-or-SUPEROCEAN-44/111773135?gpid=21297750541&gpkwd=&goog_pla=1&gclid=CMSqocf-gLcCFeU-Mgod_0gANg Would that fit Seawolf? Is it genuine?
  17. Can you count me in for a 4 watch box? Mrboomba, I PM'ed you...
  18. Nice! Thank you for the vote of confidence! I think I'm going to take some oil and a tooth brush and try to get the rust out. =o
  19. Ordered a V2 wolf from Andrew and he sent me these QC pics. I was wondering if you guys would be so kind as to provide me with a different set of eyes. I'm going to ask him to send me a picture of the clasp while it is closed. Here's what I have so far. Do you guys notice a few white-ish fragments around the 8 and 9 markers in the dial? In the last two images, it seems as though there is a rusty piece where the bracelet meets the case back. The pearl looks good, the bracelet and case looks good...Overall it looks pretty good except for the rust and the fragments? Let me know what you guys think.
  20. Andy, thank you! If I don't decide to get a Dremel, I'll probably just end up taking it to somewhere local to have it done. Unless someone can recommend someone on this board, then I would gladly work with them if they do good work.
  21. Whoever is providing these images is not trying very hard to take clear photos. You should have the serial on the case back matched the paperwork as well. If it's a local buy, meet him at the an authorized dealer just to have them confirm that it's legit. It looks good to me, but he needs to provide side pictures and more detailed images of the dial.
