More pics, please!

I'll PM you when I have them.
Sweet!

Interested, very interested.

When I built my franken I simply swapped the parts from a 2836 gmt movement to a 2846. I followed the Sneed tutorial and everything worked like a charm.

I got my 7836 from Josh. As far as I can remember it was like $55 with free shipping.

I usually use a broken oil pick and depress the spring that holds the date wheel in place, press that spring in and try to rotate the date wheel with a set of tweezers, it should give and come off, reverse the process to reinstall.

Ugh, diamonds I assume its a 21j cheapie. I'd invest in something better, but that's just me...

The fonts are a little wacky. But if the price is right, its a good dial for a budget build.

Let's see some more pics!

As I recall, a little has to be removed from the overall diameter of the ring and two slots cut to fit the clamps. Maybe 5-10 minutes work.
-
Nope. It'll need a 2836 date wheel.

Dial dots and a modded raffles movement ring will work. The 2783 I had in my 1016 16014 cased franken started losing time so I switched it out with one of those Seagull 2824 movements. Haven't had an issue yet. I simply put the dial dots on the movement, slapped on the dial without the calender spacer ring thing, mounted the hands, cased and was in business.

I recall having to go around with a dremel on the retaining ring to get my bezel to turn. All three bezel sets I got from Clarks needed work to properly turn. I also had to shave the inserts to get them to fit correctly.

One of these with the date went for over $300 on ebay yesterday...This summer I bid on one only to lose it at the last second. It was in better shape and went for something like $98

How is the 2842 held in the case? I thought there were no holes for the case clamps in these movements. Looks good by the way
-
I used Clark's hour and minute hands and a Yuki seconds hand for mine...
-
You'd need a new set of hands and the dial feet would probably have to be removed, but it could be done if you don't mind the hassle.
-
Looks pretty good! Do you have a shot of the dial straight on?
-
Hmmm. I was looking at the sellers 1680 and 1655 cases too. I wonder if they take gen spec dials...

Measures in at 41mm. I would have preferred 36-39mm, but it has lug holes!
