  1. In guessing you have the wrong case tube. Yes you can brouche it and it may work. Be careful and don't take too much out. I have had many aftermarket case tubes Ive needed to do that to.
  2. Lets see those pics and maybe we can solve your problem
  3. Yes there is a bezel tightener tool. However, it is not made for stainless bezels
  4. Most of the time the dial is glued to the dial ring. The dial ring sometimes will rotate on the movement, misaligning your window over the dwo. Remove the the dial from the movement and verify the the dial ring is glued onto the dial. Take a small pair of needle nose pliars and slightly, and I do mean slightly bend the dial ring In about 4 places equal distance apart. This will hold your dial in position until it is completly mounted. The tabs put pressure against the dial and keep it from moving in the case.
  5. They are 1.8mm I have 2
  6. You most likely have dislocated the yoke. The yoke is part of the keyless, not a major problem. A good smith can do the job in 20 mins.
  7. I have long post hands which elimanate the need for a taller canon pinon. I also have dwo and crown and bezel if you need.
  8. Not exactly sure which pin you're talking about. Do you have a pic?
  9. Case tubes and crowns are notorious for leaking, if not installed correctly. Make sure your case back gasket is in correctly. You must be careful when installing the case back. Im betting it is your crown and tube.
  10. Lets keep it simple. First the 2824 is the best choice, hands down. For the movement ring they come in various sizes. The metal rings can be modified to work and are the best choice. However a plastic retainer is easier to fit, and done correctly, will work just fine. Finding the right ring, metal or plastic, is difficult. You generally have to buy a bag of movement retainers to find the right one, it is in the bag. Those can be purchased at any watch supply house like juless-borrel or cas-ker good luck.
  11. I may regret this, but if I can help with parts or lend some advice, you can email me at matthew.wright@sbcglobal.net
  12. I measured 2 of my gens and 2 of my crystals, all four were exactly the same thickness. !.98mm
  13. I have aftermarket jubilees and oyster, with the correct clasp
  14. I build datejust, but as to this day, have never seen one of these dials available, except in gen.
  15. Be sure it's pushed down flush with the clasp, that locks it in position
  16. You have recieved some good advise. Be sure, with your dial mounted on your movement, to ck the alignment of the stem in the case tube. If it is not in the center of the case tube, you need to do whatever is necassary to align it. Either a thicker dial ring, to move it down, or cut the rehaut to move it up. Good luck
  17. The GS hypo cement will not hold it. Use the 3m emblem adhesive
  18. Ive replaced 3 and Im getting ready to do the fourth one. First, the part you are replacing is the insert, not the bezel. The bezel is the rotating part that your insert is attached to. Now,, since you have lost your pearl, that is a perfect place to start. Get youself a single edged razor blade, take a small screwdriver or even a toothpick. Pry up in the hole where your pearl was, it will begin to lift up. When it does slide your razor blade under the insert between the bezel, and the bottom of the insert. Lift up gently and it will begin to seperate. The glue strip they use is not that tacky. Clean your bezel good, remove any glue that is left, you wand a clean area to put your new insert into. Buy some 3M emblem adhesive at autozone. It works great. Put a pin size hole in the tube. Run it around the flat spot on the bottom of the new insert, less is better. Line up your pearl and gently apply pressure. You can take an alcohol rag to wipe off any excess and your done. Do NOT take the bezel off, that is a whole new set of problems. What you want to do is really easy. Good luck
  19. The end links work on all 16000 cases. The 162xx is sapphire. Internal construction is different from plastic crystal models 160xx
  20. He's correct. Just ask for clarification on the color, Im sure they are silver
  21. I must say one of the rarest things out there is a tudor watch box for 70 model monte carlo. However, $4950.00, (he lowered the price) is about $4800.00 to high. I like the reference he made to using it for a paper clip holder. LMAO!!
  22. I have both white and champagne. matthew.wright@sbcglobal.net
