I have had the RG Malte Chrono for two years and have had no problems with the crown. It is a great watch. The classique is also simple and nice. Kruzer is also right on the Jubilee. The RG plating is very good on it.

Anyways, your project idea can definitely be done. First you need a custom case. Rep cases are too big. Your watch is only supposed to be 35mm.

Next, the val. 23, but remember the Rolex plate.

The most important part, high quality dials for it are available on Ebay.

Buy the hands, crystal, put it together and you will have a beautiful watch.

Yes, I am using the same dial. The case will be YG in a Breguet style.

Correct. The generation (gen) is just the order inwhich they appeared on the market. The gen - 2 are solid and very nice, but the gen 3 are on the quality of a true Breguet movement. It is so good that I am having a custom gold case made for it.

River's is a 3rd gen. Narikaa is a modified 2nd gen. I own both movements. Gen is not really a fair comparision, they are both solid movements maid by different manufacturers.

I have had good luck with professional replating. In the past, I have used Artisan Plating and it has been perfect. The bad news is that they have not responded to email in a long time.

I disagree. That baby is fake. Rolex did not make a display movements. No one did in the 40's. The movement is also of modern style. At best, it is a Rolex pocket watch dial with a reformatted case.
