  1. I like it. In fact, I ordered one. Haven't got it yet due to the CNY break. It's got quite a few flaws compared to the gen but only a true WIS will notice or care. This is the first rep in a long time that I've actually been really excited about getting.
  2. A friend of mine bought a rep Franck Muller from them for $35 and it seems like a decent piece. They shipped when they said they would, etc.
  3. No, not yet. I have the replacement dial but haven't had time to find someone to replace it for me. I don't think I can do it myself.
  4. Please, sir, get off your high horse. We understand how special you are. I think you misunderstood. My intent was to confirm what you had said, that the majority in many economic and social strata don't know the rules of etiquette. I guess I should have made that point more explicitly. Also I accept that I am a heathen for wearing a metal watch band with a suit. Good day.
  5. OK, the thing is that if I was regularly running with the executive board crowd, the last thing I would do is show up at any function wearing a replica anything. I am a lowly engineer (albeit a lowly engineer with my own company) so I see lots of guys who think a Fossil is a high-end watch. I also own a Ferrari, so I get to spend some time with captains of industry or at least guys who think they are captains of industry. And they really don't care what kind of watch you wear, other than maybe a cursory glance to see if you "fit in" with their crowd. They usually don't know [censored] about watches beyond the brand. If it says Rolex, Omega, or Tag Heuer on the face then you're good to go.
  6. Yes, I have a 45.5 mm PO with black bezel, white numerals, and stainless bracelet and it looks good with a suit or with blue jeans.
  7. I've had one with a rubber strap for about a month and unfortunately mine has some issues. 1. It arrived with a flawed dial. The dealer sent me a new dial but I haven't found anyone who can swap it for me. 2. It gains about 5 minutes per day. 3. Power reserve is only about 20 hours. On the bright side, no one but me notices the dial flaws, and aside from that I think it looks fantastic. I have a dozen watches to choose from, so I almost always have to reset any of my watches before I wear one. Also, my watches live on a winder, so the short-ish power reserve is not an issue. I like the rubber strap, I have decent sized wrists and it fits comfortably and looks right.
  8. No AR on either one I have. I don't think the genuine one has it, either.
  9. That's about how long mine will run if I just let it sit. I have it on a winder that runs 12 hours per day and sometimes it even stops running on the winder. However when I wear it regularly then it seems to run fine. The watch is about 6 weeks old.
  10. Well, one month later and I finally received a new dial. Now I have to find someone to install it.
  11. How long should I wait for a reply from King? It's been 2 days which may or may not be a long time. Joshua always replies within a few hours.
  12. Thank you and I'll keep this updated. I sent King an e-mail today.
  13. I have no idea how to contact King. I just happened to hop in on the group buy that vmena set up. He did all the communicating. I don't want to send the watch back, maybe she might be willing to send me a new dial, but then I have to find someone who can change it for me.
  14. Here's a picture. Not the best photo but you can see what I am talking about. Look at the 10 and 11 o'clock markers compared to 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, & 8 o'clock...
  15. I got my King group buy Carerra the other day and it is just OK. The chronos work and reset perfectly, and the date seems to be centered just right. It also keeps decent time so far. However, the silver bars on the dial at 10 and 11 o'clock are shorter than they should be. Looks like they might be the shorter bars that are used at 3 and 9 o'clock. I'm a little disappointed but not enough to risk sending it back or to spend any more money on it. I also have a Tag Link chrono from Joshua where the small hours subdial doesn't reset properly and I'm just living with that too. Neither one is worth spending the money to ship back and risk having it get lost, etc. I think those will be the only two pricier reps I'll buy. I don't mind too much if a $80 rep has problems but for $230+ there shouldn't be such issues.
