  1. it's not, I asked the same to a fellow member before I got it :)

Unlock the locking mechanism by turning it 45 degree. So the sides should be facing upwards. Then you pull out the crown like normal (position 2 for date, position 3 for time)

The rep crown lock is just for looks, it doesn't lock anything. The rep crown is just push/pull and normal 1st out position date change and 2nd out position time change. You can wind the movement with the crown in the in position. ;)

At least that's the way it is on mine. Maybe there's a super duper version out there with this crown lock function.

  2. Recently had this made-to-order vintage tan waxed canvas strap made by Eric (Donerix) @ Hamilton Leather Works. Great communication and timely delivery as usual. Strap is made from great quality materials and with excellent craftsmanship as always. Here are a few pics of it on my Omega Broad Arrow, but it's ultimate home will be on a 16800 custom franken TC sub build in progress. :)

It came a in a quality branded canvas pouch as well, which was a nice touch.

These were the options Eric provided me for this made-to-order strap:

Keepers: vintage leather (like in pics) or matching canvas

Edge: raw (like in pics) or folded (for a cleaner look)

Tail: square (like in pics) or rounded

Buckle: vintage roller buckle (like in pics), other or none

He also has other waxed canvas colors available.

I have already ordered a couple more in different colors and sizes. :D

  3. Can't buy something like this one to fit it on Panatime or usual cheap online retailers. I advise gen on this one if you really like it. Can get at AD of course if you have the gen and provide a serial number, but try searching online for grey market sources. I think I recall seeing one somewhere online for about $400 and didn't require providing a gen serial number to purchase.

    Good luck! :D
