Sand?!? That's crazy
Was the watch retrieved, or lost to the depths?
That's why I never wear any bracelet when diving, only a diver on rubber strap. Plus I only wear a lower end one and never an expensive gen. My orange monster has never failed me yet!

From another board.
Rumor is TC is sourcing gen like inserts....... -

Here's my only vntage diver ATM. Swiss Organa with a 25 jewel ETA 2452 movement, which is actually keeping better time than most of my newer ETA powered watches.
Also just had it relumed with a sandy brown vintage style lume.

Looks good.

Design complaints aside, you have to give it props as the first all titanium dive watch by Tudor, or Rolex for that matter. Plus the progressive engineering that went into the dive extension clasp is pretty good too.

The Pelagos is a bit like seeing your sister in a bathing suit, thinking "Nice ass...", and then remembering it's your sister
I don't quite agree with you regarding the Pelagos, but I'll give you props for a funny analogy.

Saturday... My last remaining rep from Robert.
I still get a chuckle that he sent it in this because I was such a noob insisting on EMS. Even though the package was opened by US Customs in Miami, it still made it through to me thanks to his camouflage.
He was usually always right. R.I.P. bro...

It's definitely on my list, but may have to go with a used one in a year or two. I love the design, but really hard to spend $4k USD on something with just a 2824 inside. I can get those movements brand new sealed for <$200. Can't tell me the rest of that watch is worth the rest.

Ok, besides ROLEX, who has the best sub bezel insert?

.....Bezel Insert?
ROLEX does.

That's a great starter piece for him. I'm sure he will enjoy it.

You should be able to take it to your local mall non-AD jewelry store guy who offers water testing services to get it done.
BTW, unless something has changed recently the Hublot Classic Fusion is push/pull crown that does NOT screw in, so chances of being even water resistant enough for the shower is not likely. Sorry...

Nice build project.

Thursday... A rare and long out of production Omega with ST-19 HW, domed crystal and the "Omega" engraved movement. Don't wear this nearly as often as I should.

Recently picked up one of the popular rep Assolutamente straps. Not bad for <$40, very soft and comfortable to wear. It's not as good as the gen like the hype would lead you to believe, but it's definitely worth the rep price.
It's much lighter than the gen, but I like the tan color and it makes for a nice summer strap. The only annoying difference I find is the stitching on the rep strap is much thicker than the gen, and really much too thick in general, an aspect that I don't care much for.
Here it is next to my gen radiomir sized strap I recently bought from the NY Panerai Boutique for comparison. The rep strap is the bottom one in all the pics, and is the lighter tan color.

I recently contacted a trusted dealer about obtaining a V3, here is his reply:
"The AP V3.. It is very badly flawed.. bad Hexagon holes on the bezel and bad lume application on the inner bezel.. I am not selling this unless it is sorted out by the maker... Also the maker lied about the watch being superlume.. It is never superlume..
There will be a much better one coming soon.... I suggest you wait for that .."
Any thoughts?
Hmmm. This doesn't sound very accurate based on the V3 models I've seen. Which TD was this?
