Again sorry for your loss Mike and glad to have you back!
-
Yes I concur Trusty and Andrew are great!!!I have about five watches from him. Smooth flawless transaction every time.
-
How's it compare to the H-factory version?
-
The fat 2mm springbars are gen spec and should be used with these watches. He included the small ones in case the bracelet is used for non gen spec subs.
There are people out there who say the smaller springbars in general, will wear out-and elongate the lugholes in watches. I definitely would use the larger 2mm bars with your TC watch.
+1 Thanks Woof!

STEEL that would be great! I'll stand by!
-
Thanks STEEL!!!! Hmmmm now the question is should I change them????
What did you do?
The spring-bars included in mine worked perfectly.
So you keep the originals on? How can you tell if they work perfectly? Are the smaller ones sometimes a bit loose?
I am glad You have asked that Indy! I would like to know too.
+1

Steel probably sounds like a NOOB question but are the included spring bars just extras???? I've got mine as well and haven't figured out a use for them

My 6 marker looks a tad off with uneven ...maybe i'm being to fussy
Contact TC I'm sure he'll switch out the dial for you. He's great to deal with. Just received my TC LV sub with insert and I must say its PERRRRRFECT!!!!!
-
Yup you are right, contemplating one of this.
Then I gotta get The Zigmeister to redo lume
and how to you feel about sel fitment guys heard ok but not great?
Mike just received my TC LV sub and I must say absolutely outstanding attention to detail. Get one while you can!!!!!! I'll post a short review soon.

Looks low grade quality. Second hand appears short, polish on band and clasp is lackluster. The dial looks cheap ie numbers, markings. Lastly the pearl and placement is horrible. I'd say it's close to what you'd get on Canal St in NYC. Not trying to be harsh just honest opinion. It compares very poorly to the new Ceramic PO from Trusty time. How's the lume???

Its the current TC LV insert mate. His V2 is not yet finished, and I have been told Thomas will update his blog on this when ready.
Whats your take on the quality of the current insert? Some say it's pretty good.

Indy look here
. Some may be sold, but if that's the case, contact seller and see if he can get more.
I have scored many parts by checking with sold items. Rolex parts require chasing and diligence.
I check the three gen forums and eBay daily. I bought a like new 16610 insert once from a guy in Greece 55$ shipped.
I also bought a fat font nos insert for my 5512 for 99$ shipped off TRF from an ad everyone missed months before..I just emailed the guy....he had forgotten lol

Thanks Woof!!!! The search begins!!!

Cheers, yup, will fit a TC insert in the coming weeks, then save a few pennies for a gen insert, but in no rush. Booking next years vacation soon, so priority is this first, deposit soon enough
Steel are you talking about the new TC gen like insert or his original TC LV? When I placed my order he told me the gen like insert was not complete yet but he sourced a few of his old LV inserts and would install one in my sub.

There are hundreds of Lv inserts out there for sale.
Funny thing...just being green makes them several times more expensive than a normal black insert.
The cheapest gen green insert I've ever seen over the last three years has been 350$, most are 4-500$
I made one using a cheap eBay insert from Hong Kong and a gen pearl a few years ago...but sold it. It looked spot on too, at least from the front or mounted in the watch. Gen pearls are hard to come by in the 166&& series, but doing that is cheaper than buying the gen. My TC is a plain 16610 instead of the LV for this reason, and I have a gen insert installed. Your new LV rocks SSteel! Look forward to seeing her finished.
Where woof??I've been checking the Rolex Forum and only find black. On ebay finding only used black inserts. Please help!!!!!

Good job gents!

Steel where did you source your insert? Finding an LV insert is wicked hard!
-
Nice sarge!

So is it confirmed that the V4 is lighter than the V3?

What about the new SMP black ceramic?
-
He's had a rash of problems lately...first his site got seized and it took a while to get that back up. Then his paypal account got cancelled and his website credit card payment page is not working well. He's a small TD compared to the others and is usually pretty good. I ordered three watches from him prior to the current problems and it was flawless. Seems he's just going through a rough time.

Gen buckle on that rubber or did you use the one that came with it?
