Just got my gen insert and it wouldn't snap in.
Got a GEN bezel but it doesn't fit either unless modified.
I was under the impression that GEN parts fit TC without mods.
A gen bezel doesnt fit the TC bezel assembly, we were talking about that a few pages ago

Bezel looks good and so do the end links, did it take much modification of the bracelet to look like that?
I need to do some cutting to my TC v3 it doesnt sit right. There are 2 problems:
- The endlinks sit too far out when they should sit further in
- On of the endlinks has more material on one edge that the other (at the bottom thickness wise)
I cant be bothered with the pain of modifying, I might go gen braclet and TC clasp (lug to lug is aprox 20.1mm)
-
So I just measured my case its around 20.1mm (with a ruler) so don't know how accurate that is

Thank you for interesting write up!
About Etaswiss/ Gen 93250 ,
On my Sean's 16610 Case, the GEN 93250 fit without problem.
I suppose it's your single case problem .
Hey do you have any pics of this?
-
Does that case fit a genuine 3135?
-
There was someone that fit a gen to the sean. The gen sel is 20mm while the Sean case is 20.13 ish. There is a gap that is just no good.
Damn, well there goes the thought of using a gen bracelet! Thanks for the heads up. I remember reading a thread about it but I cant find it

Has anyone fit a Gen braclet to a Sean case? What sort of results did it achieve?
-
When I test fitted mine its was similar to that but I didnt have the spring bars in, ill post up a pic soon as I can

Nice looking parts how much did you pay all up? I found another listing from that seller all good.
Are they new or used?
-
Interesting, I might just take it to my local watchsmith
didn't think I'd be able to put the crystal back on but I thought it wouldn't be too difficult to get it off, damn lol
-
BTW whats the best way to remove the crystal and crystal retainer? Ive got the bezel off

Update on the serial number/engravings on the Sean. They are as follows:
Between the lugs:
ORIG. ROLEX DESIGN
16610

Flat 4 insert can be either tritium (16800 and 16610 up to around 1999) or luminova (1999-2000 dial SWISS and 2001-2003 SWISS MADE dial, SEL and lugholes cases)
From 2004 with no holes cases it's pointed 4 and lumi of course.
Service inserts are pointed 4 only
Thanks!
-
From what I've seen even the new inserts have pointed 4's even though they are marked 16800 on the packet
-
I feel the same, just bought a genuine tube
-
BTW any advantage to a gen tube vs an aftermarket one?
-
It does look very tight but did you have to modify it or shave the TC down a bit or did you just wedge it in? lol
Did you use the standard TC bars or did you use smaller ones?
-
The genuine bezel I got off VRF from a guy in NY was actually a really difficult part to find, yet to get the crystal retainer
-
Hey I haven't got the retaining ring yet. I've got both a TC and Sean case. Everyone is telling me that the Sean doesn't fit a Gen be2l either. Ephry73 are you talking about the retainer or bezel?
-
There is no comparasion between the TC and the Sean bracelet the TC wins hands down. Did anyone need to sand the TC to fit the Sean case?
As for the model no. Its still 16610
The bezel is excellent though and very similar to my Gen
-
The sean has arrived, case is great but the TC bracelet is much better. Also my gen crown doesn't screw all the way down on the Sean tube. Overall an amazing case. It's still an M serial
