Id be more inclined to purchase a non lug hole 16610 case if I saw some pictures but seems like there arent many. The ones on the site have lug holes
-
But they don't make a non hole version correct?
-
I'd agree 1k for a fake case is not worth it. Anyway I'd like to see the st non hole case. Your watch looks awesome only thing is the lugs look amost "softer" and not as harsh as the Gen if that makes sense
-
Ive asked a few times for pics and havent gotten any responses
-
Awesome man can't wait to see it. What's the difference with my dial and yours?
Yours looks awesome man! I'm still waiting on a few parts in the mail before I can get it assembled
lol
As for the dial its a very tiny difference but the Oyster perpetual date spacing is different on my dial, there are two versions with Swiss made on the bottom
Its explained here:
-
Only ever heard of two other cases:
- phong its $1150 and still has imperfections apparently, so possibly not worth the money
- s.t at $170 not a bad price haven't heard good things though
-
There are other cases, but this one is pretty decent and HAS stampings
E
What's better? Anything better without the stamping? I'd prefer more accuracy over engraving and a serial number
-
Let me get this clear.
The retaining ring is that big thing that attaches firmly to the case and holds the crystal in place right? There's a separate flat washer that is flimsy and fits on top of the retaining ring and under the bezel?
If so, aren't these like impossible to source?
Yes and yes
-
Congrats! Exactly the same build as mine except ive got a slightly different dial and its all in parts.
Will post pics of mine when done as well!
Cheers

Dont want to thread jack if anyone needs a nice rep dial for one of these movements PM me I have a Sean one with hands for a 16610/16800 sub
-
I made a discovery recently once I had a chance to get a TC and a Sean case side by side: The lug ends are wrong on the TC case. They should be square like the Sean case on cases without lugholes and the tapered style that the TC uses would be correct for a lughole/93150 watch.
Does your Sean have the over beveled edges? Its starting to bug me as well as the fact that some have said it fits a gen 93250 perfectly some say it doesnt... arghhh rep life!!
-
Anyone compare the Sean to the Phong case? Or anyone have any pics of the no lug hole phong 16610?

Hey all,
This happened a few weeks ago but I wanted to let it all be resolved before I posted about it so apologies!
Worst buying experience of my life I actually tried to buy a gen 3135 from this member. He is from tel aviv Israel and im willing to bet, while is account is deleted he is still lurking around.
He started out by saying he had a gen 3135 so I asked where he got it and he said his watchmaker friend "Tali" had another one.
Was emailing both negotiated a price including registered insured mail etc. payed via Paypal done deal.
This guy tells me its sent so I keep asking him for the tracking number, he ignores my PM's on here my emails etc. Finally he replies telling me im rude and its been sent and he will send me the tracking number... nothing
So I file a paypal claim and get my money back.
I have since bought another 3135 which was actually sent!
I think he does go by the alias "vintage.israel" because his last activity date on his "yonatanezo" account is the same date his vintageisrael account was created.
His facebook page also says he has a masters... I dont believe that for a second

No mention of fitting genuine hands as well
-
ah I got tired of waiting...
+1

I found that the Sean retaining ring to be too small as well, wouldnt hold the gen bezel on it correctly.
-
I got insanely lucky on a gen retaining bezel sold at NR off eBay for 22.50 shipped and tracked it came and checked out as gen
Was that from the seller: a-and-e-watches on ebay just curiously?
-
They aren't easy parts to find I had to do a lot of inquiring. Anticipate anywhere between $250 and $700 for the bezel alone, they are the prices I've found. Or check out ebay!
-
Thanks. So I suppose the Sean bezel looks close to gen? Where can I find those?
Gen insert fits Sean bezel no problem, right?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
You need to buy a complete case from Sean, or buy my Sean bezel assembly
PM'ed
-
I went gen bezel as
not a cheap upgrade though!
-
IMO as I've been told by a few expert members, use the retaining ring for that bezel:
TC with TC ring
Sean with Sean ring
Gen with Gen or aftermarket ring
-
Thanks, ill try and find one to give it a try
-
Nice one, guys any idea how to remove a case tube?
-
I do need a set of digital Calipers! @dcpark87 did you ever take any test fit pics of the gen bracelet with the Sean case by any chance?
@watcher a gen LV dial would have set you back some coin! But awesome you have one
