Panerai153,
Well said. I have been cruising the sales forums for some time now and when a ROO pops up its usually too late. I keep going back and forth about them. Not too sure which theme to go with, I'll probably let the sales posting be the deciding factor.
I got into the rep game for the sake of getting an AP ROO but settled for Pam's as they were a little more accessible. I built a 6154 that I was certain would be it for me, but now I'm debating letting it go for a ROO.
Crazy hobby this is!
After seeing the Navy themes on the sale forum with the brown leather strap it has struck my interest. I read some impressions of the gen where they said they never really have it a second glance until they saw the navy themes in person. Any Navy Themes Rep owners out there? I searched the forum but got very few hits, I did see a pic of a gen with a brown strap that had blue sticking, and was quite nice.
With the addition of the brown strap it to me it almost gives it a safari type look.
If you have any pics please post.
Cheers
Ooooh you might be right about the panda. I had the V1 diver even though it was great the black and steel was a little "plain" for such a piece. How do the bracelets hold up ?
Is the rep close to gen, aside from the few problems BP maker was having? Is the feel different from the older version? Should the bracelet be a factor in deciding between the 16610 rep and the new ceramic rep?
Where to find the euro mariner? I have had a few cheapie 21j Rollie subs, 1680, a blue dial gold sub, a ceramic silix special, but they all seemed to be thrown together with mix and match parts so I ended up selling them. My daily wear is a Orient snorkler sub and am looking for a Rolex to wear out. And the cheapies did not cut it for me
