All very nice builds. Great idea for a thread. I've done 3 builds for myself, and I submit 2 of those here for your entertainment.

The 7021/0 started life as a 1680. Mods are dial, hands, bezel insert, bezel tension ring, crown, ETA 2824-2, and 93150 bracelet.

The Date-Day started as a Day-Date. Mods are dial, hands and new DG-2812.

Mark XVII on a new Brady Sailcloth strap. Buckle came in today from Angus.

Ordinarily, I would be ecstatic to finally see this coming out. However, it's very hard to justify that price for a rep with ropey side engravings, and a case that looks not too different from those used in the old quartz FF chronograph reps.

$500! How much did the PloProf reps cost when they were released?

I agree the case is very similar to the old chrono models. I know this may be sacrilege to some, but I prefer my 41mm vintage to the larger 45mm of this one. I'd prefer a 40-42mm model.

This thread has reminded me how much I've always wanted one of DSN's FFs, particularly now that he's got an Aqua Lung out.

Thanks Doug! It's one of my favorites. DSN is easy to deal with, except I prefer PayPal over Western Union.  Does he have a new one out?  hhmmmmm...

Reading the BPFF preview from PT, made me decide to switch to this for a while:

I've been waiting for this to arrive, but at that price I think I'll stick with my vintage for now...
