Hello everyone. Been a long time lurker of the forums here and have owned both real and rep time pieces. I used to own a GEN Navitimer world a few years ago and recently my buddy picked this one up from a local watch broker. Has electronic paper work and physical ID card with serial but something doesnt seem right with the watch. Every picture I look at of the gens, either my old one or new ones online, theres ONE particular thing that pops to me... The "S' in STAT.. Do you guys think my friend got taken and sold a rep w a rep ID card and matching serial? or is it a GEN and all i find online are reps?

The only difference I can see is by the 9 oclock hand where it says STAT.40.... the "S" is of the wrong font. my friend has a Gen and we just compared and thats the only noticeable difference.. We spent a good 15-20 minutes overlooking both and this is all I've noticed.

where did you get that bottom picture from? Are you trying to compare the two with those pictures? what happened to trusty's site? looks like they got to him because of selling reps.....
