  1. Remember to tighten all those little screws on the butterfly buckle... I forgot and lost a few, as well as one of the springs inside the buckle locking mechanism... what a pisser. Speaking of which -- anyone know where I could get a replacement parts for a Santos 100 leather strap buckle?
  2. Where could one be (or more) bought? Thanks
  3. So, who's parted with their hard-earned $$$ and ordered this thing? I haven't, and likely won't until there is a significant price adjustment, but it would be interesting to know how many people are willing to spend this much for a rep.
  4. That would be nice to have! Anyone know where an IWC deployant clasp could be bought?
  5. Cool... let us know what you come up with. Perhaps a group buy? I'm definitely in for a kevlar or carbon weave, as well as a solid non-tapering black leather.
  6. Hey guys, I got one of EL's 3717s with bot SS and "leather" strap. I want to get a replacement leather strap. Something nice, thick, quality. Does Don sell this size? By the way, is it 22mm at the lugs? Thanks, kidxer
  7. What's happening with yours? I've had mine for a couple hours and after a full wind turned on the chrono and let it go for a while only to find that the watch stopped when the chrono hand gets to ~55secs after about 15mins of running. This has happened twice. Did I get a dud?
  8. Sorry, no pics - am at work. But, she sure is purdy... I am surprised how short the bracelet is - barely needs to be adjusted on my 7.25' wrist - this might be a problem for some of the bigger fellers... I largely echo what others have said, like: - the bracelet is silky smooth and very comfortable - faux-croc strap seems cheap (I wonder if I could transplant the buckle??? - anyone know?) - day's a bit crooked, but not that bad (would like to fix, however) - great attention to detail (i.e., curved chrono second hand) - IWC symbol on bracelet buckle seems a little sloppily etched Overall, a very substantial watch with strong presence.
  9. wow... stunnig photos... you captured some amazing detail on that dial... love the thick/raised white markers (and numbers to a lesser extent, but still raised). i must say, though, that the 4 rust-coloured pinions on need to be dabbed with some silver enamel. i.e., rep: vs gen: (see gen photos in the following thread from timezone: http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tre...2694&rid=0)
  10. sweet... can't wait to get mine... apparently tomorrow... :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  11. digits were varied for that very reason... thanks bro!
  12. Yeah, nothing... I've tried a bunch, including this one -- all say your "package" can't be found... (I'll show them a package!!!) It's only been a week so I guess I'll give it a few more days... Thanks for trying to help guys.
  13. I bought one of the new IWC Pilot Chronos from EL and am trying to track the package but I can't find a site that the tracking number works with. Any idea where the following type of tracking number can be searched? EW477970323TW thanks
  14. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement crown for a PAM222? I've tried to contact Palp to no avail. Would a Davidsen crown fit? I love this watch, btw. I ended up getting an historic brown strap from Don and the combo is fantastic. Only thing missing is a decent crown (and perhaps AR). Thanks
  15. To those that own a Tag Carrera Chrono like this one: Your thoughts on any of the following would be apopreciated: Will it wear (and wear) well? Is the case sturdy? Does it seal well? Would you wear it in a shower? Is it too shiny? Does the bezel sctratch/scuff easily? How is it is rubber vs. SS? Thanks... trying to decide (interestingly, the other watch I'm leaning toward is a Seiko auto chrono like: or this: Thanks for your thoughts

    Pam253

well... i guess largely because I'm a newb and haven't seen any other rep chronos function before...

    Pam253

Yep, figured that would be the likely response... worth a try though... nothing ventured, nothing gained!
  18. I'm looking for a chunky historic strap to put on a 44mm PAM. Does anyone here have experience with either of "Greg Stevens Crcazy Horse" or "Don's" straps? Or preferably both?? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks
  19. Looks like some poor schlep bought it... poor guy. Seems odd as the seller has 100% positive feedback...
