  1. Here are some gen pics, you will notice that the lume sucks in the second picture and even in the 1st is not as bright as Takashi's. This one was just for fun. I may buy one of these next as it looks great.
  2. Wow that looks great. It appears to have a whitish lume, with a hint of green.
  3. I do have an old ebay special 2 watch winder, that I use to put the AT and my dead Portuguese on. I need to get a new one as it does not really keep the watches in place as it spins.
  4. Does anyone have or have seen a chronoswiss rep? I am looking for a 42-44MM timemaster. I love the big onion crown and the coin edge texture around the case.
  5. I think I may pick one up too in the future too. It looks great. How is the rotor? I am surprised nobody is selling engraved rotors for these.
  6. I was a member of the old RWG and moved over here at the boards inception, a couple of years ago. I had purchased a couple of replica's back then, but really only kept one. My Vac lumed 183. I think he did the work back in 07. I dropped out of the scene as I was buying a house getting married (life was happening), but would still visit the board to see what new watches were coming out. I recently purchased a 3717 and boy has the bug bit me again. I had the watch for a week and decided to send it off to Vac for lume as thats all it really needed. Enough talk here are some pics.
  7. All done, I bought the watch serviced, with K222 AR and ETA DW. The lume and swiss eta movement are all that are left. I sent it to Vac this morning.
  8. I should have been a bit clearer, I was trying to see what the hands and 3/6/9/12 hour markers look like under the light. I know they will not look like thye came lumed from the factory, but want to see if they look messy. I had a sandwich dial pam lumed and it looks great, but that project doesnt seem as difficult. Thanks, ck
  9. Does anyone have any pictures of the lumed markers on their 3717. I am trying to decide whether I want to get the watch lumed.
  10. I like the new tag link, the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger is the terrible date window.
  11. I was wondering why the min/hour hand move when the chrono is engaged. Do you think this can be fixed with servicing? Is the movement loose in the case? Its very minor and my old portuguese would do the same. I am thinking of putting in a swiss ETA or just servicing the Asian movement if that will fix the problem. What do you guys think?
  12. Then I guess I am looking for the graphite black with black subdial BCE. Joshua does not seem to have the white v2 BCE with stick and numerals. Should the graphite black subdial have red automatic print?
  13. I am currently in the market for a graphite dial / black sub-dial ultimate BCE. Is this watch true to the genuine watch? I was told that only the graphite/graphite dial is accurate and that there is a grey dial with black subdials. Which is the true to gen dial? Second would you guys choose this watch over the 2007 Cousteau and 3717 pilots watch. I prefer the BCE because it needs so few mods just the datewheel and possibly some lume. ck
  14. I think it was only available over seas a couple years back. I have had mine for about a year now and it still works fine.
  15. You would have thought that the manufacturer would have picked a watch without any defects (if one exists) to take pictures of.
  16. Can I oil up the rotor on my IWC Porto so that it doesnt sound like its grinding against the case?
  17. The watch looks great. It looks like there is dust or dirt under the crystal.
  18. I have had my panda porto since sept. It works great and winds just fine on my winder.
  19. The dealer section and trade section should be exclusive to those with 100 to 200+ posts, like in the old days. This was bound to happen, as the site has grown by leaps and bounds over the last year.
  20. I might be interested in the SS version if the price is right. I think the ceramic will be too much.
  21. Has anyone who ordered from Angus received a watch with a misaligned datewheel? If he sorts through them by hand then it may be worth spending the few extra bucks to get the cream of the crop.
  22. What do you guys think? It looks the same to me except for a lesser amount of $$ http://www.ttwristwatch.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=1230
  23. I sent my Pam 183 to Vaccum early this month and just received the watch and man the watch looks great. I asked Vaccum to do a full service on my swiss 183H. He relumed the watch, changed out the cannon pinion, polished the cannon pinion, changed hands, and fully serviced the watch. Vaccum's work is top notch. Here are a few pics
  24. How does the dial compare to the gen? The gen dial has great presence. The dial is very sharp and looks well made.
