  1. Back in 2001 I had a huge motorbike accident, 55mph crash which threw me into a car, bounced off it and then landed 40 yards further on in the mud on my knee. Smashed leg and smashed left wrist. Aside from the continual leg problems, the wrist didn't set properly. It's dropped down, by which I mean if I hold it out "straight" rather than the hand being in line with the arm, it's about 1cm lower than where it should be. Which does mean wearing a watch on that wrist can quickly get painful, so I've got all my straps set to be very loose. And so I'm unconsciously holding my wrist up and shaking it to get the watch back to where it should be. A friend at work said to me one day "Showing off a new watch?", so I had to laugh and explain Got to laugh or cry haven't you? Anyone else got similarly mangled limbs? 2. LOL! Not quite what I had in mind! If you were in a suit standing on you yacht with a gorgeous babe hanging off your arm... Standing to the left, panning to the right, bit more, bit more... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  3. Thanks for the pics guys, after getting some idea of what a 40/44mm watch looks like on an adult wrist (from these photos and googling) I've taken the plunge and ordered two reps. Daytona Pro Hunter with red writing Mk2 and a BCE two tone, brown dial with sticks, both from Joshua. I like the way the gold and brown go nicely together on the BCE! And now I'll forget about them for a month, apart from getting and examining the QC pics
  4. Naff off!!! I'm strictly hetro and have no interest in blokes bodies! And if I was I'd have no problem coming right out and saying it, sweetie! I am interested in not buying something that looks like I've tied a frying pan to my wrist.
  5. I realised I've never taken decent photos of my current watches so dug out the camera gear and then found the batteries for the macro flash kit are dead. Damn! A visit tomorrow on the way home from work will sort out some new ones Current watches are Citizen EcoDrive GN 4W S (imported american model) http://p1.la-img.com/368/25732/9519321_2_l.jpg Seiko Titanium 7t62 A little bit like this one http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR8AqtxtfZNZ7tujYpCpK7_ezh5C_E8ahUeCKTYoR5MVf-gEwcF_H0ktPFq Casio Giez G Shock GS1100 http://www.watchtm.com/images/watches/images_db/big/s204_casiogs11001a.jpg And the first decent watch I bought, Citizen 6850-GB1317 GN-4-5 titanium (can't find photo) This last watch I still absolutely love. The case is about 5mm thick and the whole thing weighs less than an AA battery, lovely It doesn't get worn much now as it's rather fragile after I took it to Timpson in Milton Keynes for a battery change and it came back not working with the hands loose, and their "repair" wasn't, all it did was mark the dial, hands and crystal. The last place I took it to couldn't get parts for it so I think it's a bit ill permanently now.
  6. Great and helpful photos, thanks guys. Would love to see some Pam's and Breitling Navis. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  7. Come on guys, can you post some photos of you wearing your watch so newbies like me can get an idea of how big the watches look when worn? Full body photos or upper body photos I find are best to get an idea of scale, crop your head off if you don't want to be identified:) The close ups of the watches and of watches on wrists are great but I can't get a good idea of scale, the close photos make the watches look about 50% bigger than they are sometimes! 8. Does anyone know if any of the trusted dealers either here or at RWI sell rep Aerospaces? I know they're quartz, and so probably not to a lot of people's tastes in these forums, but I love them for being light, thin and made from titanium (most other metals make my skin come out in a red rash - which is a right pain as I love my watches!) Thanks, Richard Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  9. Cheers guys! Been window shopping waiting for the dealers to get back to me Looking at some of the pictures makes me realise just how huge some of the watches are! I'm not a small bloke (6'5" and not skinny) but still, some look absolutely huge! Especially the Pams, which is a pity as I love the looks of them otherwise. Need to find more pictures that show a top half of body shot so I can get some perspective - it's difficult to judge when it's just a close up wrist shot
  10. Hi all, First post in here having been looking round the replica websites loads and finding these forums. (After doing a search for one website and finding about 10 "review" sites that all had exactly the same, work perfect, review I smelled the moo-splat) I've got a few genuine watches (Timex, Seiko, things I can afford) and have decided to get a couple of reps. I'm not interested in reps that are perfect to the last atom (unless they're the same price!), I want something well made, that looks good, feels good and works well and reliably. It'll be worn mostly daily. Looking for a good Breitling Chronomat Evolution, two tone, sticks, either a very dark blue dial or black (which in most shots looks like a very dark blue?) Also looking for one of these (which I haven't seen anywhere before) http://www.perfectwatchez.co/rolex-daytona-black-ion-plated-tachymeter-black-stainless-steel-strap-black-dial-80247.html Either / both from EU dealers. Used in very good condition is also fine. I've had a read of the "noob" guide, but in Tapatalk most of the links don't work? Is that a noob intelligence test? Which of the dealers here are EU based? And I see (some) negative comments about quite a few of the dealers listed here, do these listed dealers always sort out problems, or are some of them really overdue for being delisted? Thanks, Richard Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
