  1. Very cool... this is making me wanting a Deep Sea.
  2. Thanks Mike... now I just need to wait a bit to gather the funds for it. Crossing my finger that my wrist can pull this off... lol.
  3. Very cool! Thanks for sharing
  4. Thanks guys. I have read some reviews on this forum and seems like its very close to gen. Anyone has any wrist shots? Would love to see some.
  5. sorry to see this man. Hope you can get this sorted out. I wonder what Andrew would do in this situation? Please keep us posted.
  6. You can also try Timezone and The Rolex Forum... both forums have decent selection, reference checking section and also trusted sellers. Your best bet is to contact some of those trusted sellers... if you need recommendation PM me.
  7. can not wait to buy one if they do make it....
  8. Wow... that is very insightful. I agree with you that the price jump from one movement to another is pretty outrageous. I am Ok with the asian to save some money, but I will keep an eye out to see if the makers do use lesser quality pieces for the cheaper asian movement. What do you think is the best Rolex rep thus far? As I read through reviews after reviews, the experts all seem to be able to pick apart most reps. So far, I think the white Exp 2 42mm seems to be pretty close. Too bad, I am not interested in the Submariners, or else there are some pretty nice examples out there as well.
  9. Smab, thank you for your input. I will for sure check out your post about DSSD. I am a bit new to this but so far I have really enjoyed the readings and research. Its like a hunt for the perfect watch. THe only other issue that I have is just funding, but that's another topic for another day. Thank you.
  10. I am doing some research on the DeepSea. Has any one dealt with Hont before? I think he is one of the trusted dealer here. I am considering one of the Noob factory Deepseas. http://www.hontwatch.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=39&zenid=1sq8vn5knoog7enhm0a23jnnc6 There are 4 different models available. Is the only difference in the movement? I recently started a thread about asian movements and seems like most members do not mind it. I would love to save a bunch of monies in this case. Would you buy one of the cheaper asian movement Deepseas? Anyone can chime in on the quality of these Deep Sea? Thank you in advance for your valuable opinion.
  11. I love the Navitimer and GMT2C as well! Good luck with your search. Would love to see some reviews and your thoughts as you purchase these pieces!
  12. Mike... great advice... I am definitely going to stick around and build a solid reputation. I really like this forum and seems like everyone is eager to help!
  13. Mike... thanks for your advice! Do you mean to only buy from the Trusted Dealers from this forum... ie PT, TT, BK...etc? or do you mean buy second hand off forum members in the for sale section? I have no problem buying used if I can get the watch a little cheaper!! hehe..
  14. Yea... I am afraid I will go broke very soon, after eyeing so many different pieces...
  15. Mike, just out of curiosity... which Breitling did you buy? and what else are you researching into? I am looking to buy a Super Avenger... looks like a few TD carry them and the quality of SA are very solid... prob very hard for people to tell they are reps.
  16. Thanks GMTlover... really appreciate your help. I will take a look at the PT site.
  17. this is definitely very reassuring to know that experts here find the asian movements reliable. It is definitely cheaper to buy Asian movement reps.... so for me thats a huge consideration, as budget and funds are very limited. Thanks again to all the experts.
  18. Wow... very insightful. Thanks for all the input. I have always wondered about the gold plating on the watch. So do I need to be super careful with these gold plated watches? I assume the plating is rather thin and the SS will show if scratches are put on the watch? How about the weight of the watch? Gold is obviously heavier, but with just a light plating if someone handles the watch they can prob tell right away that its a rep? Thanks to all the experts input.
  19. Great info! Thanks guys.
  20. Well as a noob on this board... I just want to say thanks to all expert and information I have been able to gather.
  21. Congrats! I am looking to buy my first Breitling as well.
  22. I am looking to buy a TT Blue Sub. Can the experts please advice where I can find the best copy? I don't care if its the ceramic or alum bezel. I just want the best copy period. Thank You.
