I've had a TC crown slip on me during winding. It happens on my Seadweller with TC crown. Whether others have had issues with his crown, I'm not sure. I'll eventually put a gen on my Seadweller.
Now my TC v6's crown was ok, but was replaced with a genuine one. However that watch was part of the batch that suffered the reversal gear problem. Had to buy new wheels & have my watch smith install them, as I didn't want to wait longer.
Open the case back, and see. If you don't have a case back opener, you could try the whole duct tape ball trick, which may or may not work.
Or ask the seller to accompany you to a local jeweler/watchsmith, to verify it's legitimacy.
I saw them listed, member Whoopy12 posted about them last week. Their no longer on ebay I see, I recall them being like $250?
Either this guys picture isn't that great, or that "DEEPSEA," font is pretty darn yellow, it should be greener.
If, and when a factory gets these watches correct, or I may buy one.
That's a funny find there.
Something must be wrong with me, because I kinda like this galaxy looking dial, except well... look @ the 12 marker, and the font, haha.
You'll have to glue it. Use some epoxy, just use little dabs on a tooth pick around the outer edge on the bezel ring, so the bezel can still freely turn.
My 1680 insert is epoxied in, most reps are, unless their made to gen specs like my TC sub, which the insert just snaps in.
You paid $97?
You could of probably gotten it for less either from another seller on there, or.. With i-offer, if you didn't know, you can submit an offer.
If the seller doesn't like the offer, they can revise the offer. However I've never paid the asking price for anything on there. Atleast that seller has good feedback.
I bought my Dupont's on there for about $60ish shipped, both Ligne 2's.
I've got a few very nice ligne 2 ST Dupont's off of ioffer. I believe you'll also find Cartiers on there.
The quality of my lighters is outstanding. The weight, feel, the engravings.. Very gen like.
If you buy one though be sure to use the best butane, not Ronson garbage! I use only Vector butane, it's a little pricey, but it's the best, and can be gotten on amazon.
Just take your $400 and buy a Noob Sub. You'll be happy with it.
Now if you want to get serious, and own the best sub there is, and end up investing in lots of genuine parts, spending lots of $$$$, and await months for the watch to arrive, then more time for your watch smith to make it a masterpiece, buy a TC.
Uhuh.
It's a better idea to hold the stem with a pin vice rather than pliers.
Be very careful pressing that button down. It's pretty easy to mess up the keyless, I made that mistake once. I've since had luck the other times removing stems, but with my newest watch, also a TC, I had a watch smith replace my crown for me.
