I haven't opened this one but I'd eat my hat if it was a 2836 clone. Way too choppy. The watch survived the ocean so far but my first time with a nato in the water and I don't recommend it unless you like scraping surf wax out of the rings and strap holes.

Nice to look at but definitely not even close to the reps we're used to.  Bi-directional bezel with a "plastic" feel to the ratcheting.  Low end 17-21J seagull movement?  Nonetheless a pretty decent beater.  I took it for a surf too.  So far so good.

I ordered an auto diver and a quarts chrono for on-duty beater watches. Pretty decent quality for the price. I was wondering the relationship because if they're related I was going to try using one a a parts donor.

The Parnis stuff on eBay looks close.

Here are the things I don't like about mine: 1) the pearl is off center a smidge. 2) the cyclops is not centered. 3) the DWO is terrible. Some numbers are centered but some--like 10--are WAY off. 4) the bracelet is cheap and loose and the SELs don't fit snug. Top left I can actually see through it. 5) the bezel fonts are off and too skinny. Otherwise kinda nice

This noob V2 was an absolute impulse buy. I logged on the PT website to buy a PAM297 and this caught my eye. I thought an updated 116610 rep might spur an interest in rolex watches. I had a bk noob before and it wasn't my favorite style of watch. The updates to the rep are excellent though. Check it out:

Lume. A previous poster stated that the Lume color changes depending on the light. I agree. Sometimes more blue sometimes more green. Not super lume for sure though.

The AR is a nice touch and was missing from my last sub c.

A previous post mentioned that the AR was too blue. I tried to catch it in this photo. I recall seeing a blue hue on my coworker's gen sub c. I'll have to look again when I see him.

Jmb: yes we both had accts with amazon. In fact I had to open an acct to complete the transaction. It was pretty simple to do.

Please don't go back to payza. Opening an account with them alerted the fraud protection office of my bank and they temporarily shut down my card.

I have a similr problem with a Ebel 1911 disco chrono. When I fit it in place, it's flush. However when I screw it down, it leaves a big gap. I thought a bought using cement or epoxy but never thought there is one out there string enough to hold it. I don't want my watch to fall off.

Before I start a new thread I always search to see if its been raised. Courteous no? That's why I've been guilty of thread resurrection as well.

I'm glad Mike is hard at work and not reading this thread.

I realize that tolerance is a necessary part of the hobby but just curious whether you've ever been 100% satisfied with your rep out of the box (no modded/frankened watches). For me, seems like there's always something I have to accept or modify.

I just completed an Amazon payments transaction with one of our USA-based TD's.   So far so good. 

Bummer. Good luck dealing with them. I had a dispute with PayPal a while ago and had no progress trying to resolve it.

My thoughts exactly woof. I'm in the same category. Whenever a woman starts off with "I'm the kind of person that..." She's usually the exact opposite. And I do get the feeling that a lot of the women are on the site to see how much attention they can get and from what kinds of men. Online dating is way different than meeting people in person because I feel that women are more likely to act differently online than face to face.

Hiwever, i have managed to meet a couple of cool people though. I'm dating one woman now i met online She has a really busy life like me so its slow going.

Sometimes I have to put on a monkey suit and act like a grown up...

Maybe a stupid question but why can't the rehaut be moved to be aligned with the dial?
