  1. Has anyone purchased one of the vintage (RN issue) OM 300 reps? Welcoming any observations/reviews. I couldn't find anything about that version in the forum topics. Thanks!
  2. Could you send or post a link for Mary's 50th anniversary model? Thanks!!
  3. If you plan to take that watch in the water, please take a close look at page 2 of the manual. The Mako series (caliber 46943), 200m water resistant is recommended for skin diving/snorkeling only, NOT suited for scuba diving. I was about to buy an orange "Planet Orient" until I read that interesting little item!
  4. The title says it all. I tried a search of the forums, but no hits. Nice looking reps in the $200 range.
  5. Are there many options out there for a Deepsea Challenge rep? The only one I have seen is Perfect Clones (http://www.1-pc8838.com/rlsdc10001-deep-dweller-challenge-p-13302.html) and it is listed with an Asian 2813. Has anyone seen one with a higher end movement?
  6. I'd love to see reps of great vintage divers like the Alsta Nautoscaph. These were the watches worn decades before dive computers. Now one can get a very serviceable dive computer for under $200, with bottom time algorithms based on the latest ultrasound research. When I trained, a quality watch was as important as your regulator, and bottom time was calculated with the old Navy Dive Tables.
  7. Well, crap! I was all set to pull the trigger on a C Sub.... that is until I read this review! Now I'm torn between the Sub and a DSSD Seriously though, great review and fantastic pics
  8. Hello from snowy wilderness of north Idaho where moose roam the streets (literally). This is my first foray into the world of reps. Previously my interests were focused on railroad-grade pockets, military/dive watches. I've seen so many great examples, I'm about to pull the trigger on a C Sub rep. Thoroughly interesting reading so far!
  9. As possibly the noobiest noob here, I've spend the last few days reading posts & reviews in my search for a basic black C Sub rep with Swiss 2836 movement, and I've pretty much narrowed the list to BK and Andrew/Trusty. Both watches look great to my admittedly novice eyes, and both BK and Andrew have (from what I've read here) impeccable reputations. Prices, including shipping, are not too far apart. So then, can you folks tell me anything that might be a tipping point favoring one or the other? Thanks!
  10. Welcome to the forums Doc1911A1 :)
