  1. Just noticing how almost everyone opts out of setting the date when changing watches ;)

Look at my group shot pictures above, all my watches are always synchronized  :pimp:

Pics from my DRSD are old ones.

BTW, let me congratulate you for your job on dials cause it's a real pleasure to look at it and compare it with gen pictures without be frustrated because of flaws  :clap2:  :clap2:

  2. Here is my baby

    Specs:

MBW Case, Caseback and Bezel construction + insert

    Whoopy Mark 2 DRSD Dial

    Yuki hands

    Swiss ETA

    Gen Superdome T39

    Ofrei pearl

Case work (bevel reshaping, CG reshaping, gen spec lug holes) and aging done by Rolojack that built it perferctly on any side. He even faded the insert as i like it.

    Onto the pics:

  3. 1) Let's say you bought it $800, Live happy with it and think you bought a Gen one at a bargain price.

    2) Let's say you bought it $2000, can you live with a reasonnable doubt with regards to this expense?

Personnally if I were you and be in the 1st situation, I would be more than happy!!!

Again, the price you paid it will solve your dilemma

  4. I have a lot of different Nato both in colors and material and always I have the same feeling rising: it looks great on pics but when I wear a Rolex on a Nato strap I feel I'm missing something.

It's weird, always the same story, looking at beautiful pics on forums or blogs, try the same combo on mines, wear it for few hours and put the SS band back on the watch.

Got a Bulang and Sons Vintage brown leather, put it on my DRSD or my 7032 Monte Carlo, very beautiful. More beautiful in the watch box than on the wrist.

  5. So I finally installed a Gen T39 on mine. Double pains: price and installation itself. On my old MBW there was a retaining ring that required a huge strengh to be fitted. Here is the result:

So what did I use the Gen T19 that was previously installed on it??

I put it on that babe:

  6. as long as it's below $180 you should go for it cause it's the price you'll get from WatchNY if you buy it to them.

Go for it, it fits a Gen Tropic 21 smoothly without needing to shave anything (where with DW bezels you have to shave either the crystal or the bezel)

  7. By the way you are probably talking about this eBay item:

    http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=201153941840&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

And it is indeed a WatchNY bezel sold by this seller that had few of them in sotck. I bought one of theirs myself and compared it to my WatchNY ones, 100% identical.

Best aftermarket bezel for the money. Should end around $130 (WatchNY sells it $180)

  8. Chuck I am about to install a Gen T39 on mine and I didn't expect to sand anything cause my watch is an old MBW one.

What do you mean by sanding the retaining ring? Bezel one or is there a plastic ring around the base of the crystal?

dbane883, your crystal looks like a Service dome. Is it a service T39 or a Superdome with height reduction?
