  1. Might look at a new Nissan 350Z. Heard good things and like the style.
  2. 7500 usd. Might be able to find it for less with a search. Deen found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/IWC-AQUATIMER-CHRONOGR...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. I spotted this while looking through Neil's stock. I think it looks amazing and I'm seriously tempted if the movements good. I've emailed him and I'm awaiting a reply. I'd like to hear what you think. Here's the gen http://www.finestwatches.com/audemars-piguet-11435.html
  4. Some more Bob straps here: http://www.waccex.de/catalog/ If you see something you like, PM him here and let him know what you want. Deen
  5. Good pics here. Deen http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/images2...i_fer_00004.htm
  6. All the collectors (dealers) here are reputable. I've bought about twenty watches from Andrew, including a PO ultimate, and have nothing but good things to say. Good luck and enjoy. Deen
  7. I think a lot of it (besides being a unique watch) stems from the fact that Angus brought the forum in close to the beginning, asked for comments, showed progress pictures and incorporated the comments. Fun to be a part of (no matter how slight) and the gen is a very unique piece. Be fun to show the rep off and talk some of its history. All that said, you're right. We can expect the same issues with the movement (though I haven't experienced any yet with my 3 7750s) and probably a high price. But... I'm waiting patiently because I do want one. Deen
  8. Mdub, As I read your post, I looked down on my wrist at the black face Carrera and smiled. Great looking watch. If you liked it enough to buy it before, I'd go for it again. A lot of great watches out there. I'm sure you won't go wrong, no matter what you choose. Good luck. Deen
  9. It's a 7750, so no problem winding it, ala The Zigmeister. Move the yellow dot on the crown so the crown moves out to the wind position (facing up toward the crystal) then wind. When you're satisfied that the watch is wound enough, move the crown back to the same position, push it in, and rotate clockwise to lock. Same to set the time, just pull out one click) I've really enjoyed my 008 and have received great compliments. Deen
  10. I have one of the Steinhausen two watch winders that cost about 40usd. It doesn't keep my watches wound so I quit using it. As my watch collection grew, I bought one of their 8 watch winders that I mentioned in an earlier post. It runs 33 seconds, then 12 minutes off, then repeats (or three other programs). Seems to work well on all my watches. Someone here on the forum mentioned the number of rotations per day a watch requires to stay wound. I apologize for not having a link. I watched the two watch winder, and it didn't come close to the number of RPD required. Steinhausenovernight has a good selection of winders if you're looking for another. Deen
  11. Am I the only one who likes it? If you like the rubber ROO, you should like this. Looks cool to me. Here's what International watch says: "The C1 is the beginning of what Perriard describes as “a revolution, not just an evolution” of the brand, which will position it firmly within the luxury realm. Concord’s average price point will soar from its current average of $3,500 to $8,000-$12,000. The brand is also set to serve as the showcase for new movements within the Movado Group of brands, which includes Concord, Movado, ESQ, Tommy Hilfiger, Ebel, Coach and Hugo Boss."
  12. Pix, I have an eight watch winder that I have set on clockwise on all. The only watch that didn't work on was a 21j PAM 222. I have 2824/2836/7750 all on clockwise. I do agree that the best way is trial and error on your watches. Good luck. Deen
  13. I feel for you guys, but I don't have any more ideas. The spring bar on my clasp was bent in shipping, so I took the band off to get a jeweler to find the right size bar. I haven't had any problems getting either of the keepers out. Better lucky than good. I just received a new canvas strap and I have a rubber one on the way. I do have to say that the watch is big. In my past life, I flew tactical jets with the US Navy, so the watch brings back memories. That's it's main draw for me. Good luck guys. Wish I could be more help. Deen
  14. Once you have one screw removed there is a keeper that holds the strap on. Just take some type of tool that will push the keeper and the other screw out the other side. It should push right out. You can put it back the same way. The whole setup (both screws and the keeper) turns together. You need to hold the keeper/strap or use two wrenches together to get the first screw out. I just used jewelers pliers to squeeze the strap and hold the keeper while I loosened the first screw. Good luck. Deen
  15. Good info and pics here: http://cgi.ebay.com/BNIB-IWC-Aquatimer-Cou...7QQcmdZViewItem
  16. Spent a lifetime trying to win things like this...unsuccessfully, "BUT I'M NOT DEAD YET" so I'll keep on trying. In for 25. Thanks to OB and Joshua. Deen
  17. I have a BR01-94 on the way from Andrew with a rubber strap, plus Carl is making me a strap like Scotties. Carl is a real gentleman and a pleasure to deal with, plus he's very reasonable. Makes some neat straps for the Speedy moon watch also. I'll post some lousy pics when the watch gets here. Deen
  18. Hike, Check out this auction on the Bay. Scroll down to the mini pics and look at the one of the crown/pushers. http://cgi.ebay.com/Steel-Panerai-Ferrari-...1QQcmdZViewItem Deen
  19. Hike, It's hard to see on most of the gen pictures, but it is there. That strap will be an interesting look. Take some pics. Thanks and you have a great Easter. Deen
  20. Got one from him, too! Great watch! Been wearing it for a week now...alternating with the HBB!!! Question though, is the yellow dot on the crown also on the Gen?[/codebox] Hike, Yes it is. The yellow dot should seat at the three o'clock position when the crown is locked (bayonet type crown) Turn it to twelve to release the crown, then reverse to lock. Hope I wasn't telling you something obvious. Deen

  22. I just received my Ferrari chrono. What an amazing rep. I won't embarrass myself with my lack of photo skills, there are already plenty of great shots here on the forum. I haven't seen the gen, but I compared the watch to some ad photos here: http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/images2...8_fer_00008.htm Looks very close to the gen. I first thought the Scuderia symbol was a little too fat, but through the loupe it looks right on. Great watch. Even looks OK on my 7 inch wrist. The 7750 is running fine, including the chrono. The bayonet crown worked as it should, and the screw down pushers are smooth as silk. The strap is great and the deployment clasp works well. All in all, I'm really happy with the watch. Now Lucas RWG magazine has me looking at the B&R 01-92. Great idea by the way, Lucas
