  1. I agree with what minuteman is doing. His knowledge on the ''faults'' IMO suggests he is a big fan of, or has/used to have fakes himself. These [censored] on instagram etc, why would you flaunt your fake? They're asking for trouble, and deserve the unwanted attention they receive for their stupidity.
  2. Only the td's sell these bracelets. You could get an after market one off of ebay and change the clasp? Are you willing to sell your broken bracelet by any chance?
  3. Don't talk to this scum bag, how he is not banned is beyond me.
  4. The last DHL packaged I recieved (less than 2 months) had a sticker on it saying it had been checked by customs. Inside was an omega and rolex. From what I could tell, they never even opened it.
  5. Let me just say, I've been wearing mine everyday for the past month now. It looks good in a suit, looks good casual. And Omega isnt desperately in your face like rolex (no offence), rolex, a brand which everyone assumes if fake anyway. You're missing out as we speak. I must admit, a lot of the time i get distracted by the double a/r'd crystal, in fact I burnt myself cooking the other day. Mine arrived doa, but a local smithy sorted it. Worse come to the worst get it serviced, no biggy.
  6. I have to disagree with you. Having had mine for 3 weeks now, and also handled the gen a handful of times, the rep wins once again. With the flaws you have identified, that doesn't justify what so ever the price gap, $320 (rep) vs $3100 (used gen) $4000 (brand new gen). I agree the caseback is a tell if you know what you're talking about, but even without the pearl mod, not even baby jesus himself is going to be able to tell its a rep, unless he has done prior homework, plus has a loop handy.
  7. The result of this was as suspected by members - out of place balance wheel due to big knock - all fixed for £20, no sending back to china, happy papabear
  8. I think in the long run a service is the best option..... I just hope it can be fixed...
  9. Having opened it, it all seems ''ok'', Compared to pictures, no missing screws etc..... One thing I noticed was when I pushed the balance wheel, it didn't rock like my other watches. Its just still.... Doesn't move or wobble. Of course I won't try anything myself, but it pretty bloody dirty also. And smells of oil. 1. Send it back to China and have it replaced with probably another dirty movement? 2. Send it to uk watch services over on RWI, have it fixed/ cleaned?
  10. I just purchased one of those smp ceramics with a ETA 2824 movement, but it arrived doa. I don't want to send it back to China just yet, and tomorrow I will receive the tool to open the caseback and look at what's going on. It was working when it was sent according to the TD, what could possibly have gone wrong with it during shipping that could have caused it to completely freeze? I have only played around with 21js, so this will be alien to me, and if it is just a screw or 2, I could save sending it back, time and money...... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Papabear
  11. Well, I found that gen wise, a speedmaster bracelet fits the smp ceramic. http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?210293-Speedy-style-bracelet-on-new-SMP-C compared to original
  12. But will it fit? I've asked on all forums, some people say it won't fit, but nobodies actually tried it?
  13. The SMP ceramic is on order. However I am not a massive fan of the bracelet, and prefer the PO bracelet. What are your thoughts of a PO bracelet on SMP ceramic? (edited picture below of how it would look) Are there any unwritten rules or do's and don't's in the omega world that I need to know?
  14. Yeah I rejected it because of the date wheel, lume on 9, and bezel not being straight. You can clearly see the bezel line up at 12, but not line up at 3,6, and 9. This watch is a present for someone else, so it does really need to be perfect. Plus for $300 plus you expect at least good aesthetics.
  15. Qc's from a td who is not TD on this forum. This watch is perfect.... Except for the lume on the left, looking at the 9, it just looks off, the first thing I saw basically. Also date wheel not straight? Or is that not a problem?
  16. Anyone know whats going on with the whhite on the edges of the date?
  17. Well I tried this on in the AD yesterday, and I shall be ordering today What is with the little white line on the edges of the date does anyone know?
  18. Any idea how one would go about getting one of these water proofed for say swimming? Also, compared to a sub c, is this watch noticeably a lot bigger?
  19. This watch is superb..... The only difference I found between this and the gen was the pearl Regardless, I will still be getting it
  20. Not much to report here. Clarks crystal is better because it doesn't seem to have any blue tint what so ever. Not sure why, perhaps different materials? Also, the gasket I got with the clarks crystal (2.7mm), does fit the BP sub. It needs a little squeeze, but does fit, and doesn't need the stock gasket which people have gone on about before. (I accidently deformed the original gasket so I had no choice but to make it fit) I only got this crystal because I chipped the last one, but even if I had not chipped it, this is a well worth it mod for any BP sub C owner out there. With the clarks, you can tick off another flaw, the annoying blue tint. Heres a link to the crystal I bought. They may be sold out, but he restocks them frequently. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clark-Sapphire-crystal-for-Rolex-25-295C-2-295C2-25-295C2-/251301716352?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
  21. The GS hypo cement holds fine with other stuff. Why would it not work with the bezel/pearl? Its jewellery glue, it holds things, thats whats its designed for, and thats why it has so many satisfied customers? or am I wrong and its basically a placebo?
  22. So is this cabinet specifically for watches, or a regular display cabinet which you have put your watches in?
  23. grave digging a bit, but this ''tool'' saved me from buying a press which I would only ever use a couple times in my life
  24. Is there a reason for having 2 LV's for? 1 an experiment, and 1 the final piece?
  25. I woulden't wear this if I were you. You can cook a stir fry in there, plus the dial is really bad. Just have to look at the second markers. I will guess its an old noob factory, as even new noob factories have messed up second markers that don't make contact with the rehaut; which nobody seems to mention.
