  1. Hey All,

I recently received a ROO Chronopassion that had some scuffs/scratches, i am really disappointed considering this is a $500 rep and i am considering exchanging the watch. I have read some posts by members who have returned watches to dealers and had them lost in the mail, so i am wondering what is the best/safest way to ship a watch to china?

The dealer specified to declare the value below $40, if i declare the value at $40 will i still be able to insure the watch at the $500 i paid for it if it gets lost? I have never had to make an postal ins. claim before, how does ins. claims work anyway? would i need to prove value? if so how is that done with a rep watch?

Lastly, i would like to avoid returning the watch to china if possible, does anyone know if there is a relatively simple way to clean up the marks on the watch?

    Thanx.

  2. Had the same problem to my first CP. But my defects were on the opposite side of the crown.

Think you will have a hard time cause you OK:d the QC pics.

    But good luck anyways.

the issue didnt really show in the QC pics, the CG was almost completely cropped out of the photo...almost like it was hidden on purpose.

Did you/ were you able to exchange your CP?

  3. hey all,

Just received my AP Chronopassion and there is a bit of a QC issue in the finish of the crown guard that didn't show up in the QC pics.

I am just wondering what the general consensus is on whether this is enuff of an issue to warrant a return/exchange?

    thanx

  4. Imh, the simple ROO's (black themes on ss bracelet, safari on nice croc strap) are where its at. The ROO's have do mucj flash on their own that adding gold, red trim, is 'almost' tacky.

I orderd the chronopassion (titanium) would love to be able 2o tell you its the shiot....but I ain't got it yet... :(

  5. I have to say- As far as reps go, the Chronopassion is definitely high on my list. It's been a long time since I've purchased a rep (maybe close to 2 years), but I'm glad I went with this one (thanks watchmeister for the nudge in the right direction).

Ya, Chronopassion is my first new rep in a few years as well...still waiting for it to show up! :(

  6. Hey All,

i have a Cousteau diver in the sales forum that does not seem to be moving. one of the reasons i am selling it is cuz the rubber strap is too small. Since it looks like i am keeping it, i am wondering if there are any strap options anyone can recommend.

I had to make new holes in order to get the strap to fit...lol :p

  7. I'm sure it will be repped... will it be done well or correctly? Not a chance.

i would be ecstatic for a ceramic rep that mimics the brown color of the composite/ceramic case...something like that would sell like hawtcakes!...dunno if mimicking the composite/ceramic is possible or not tho...other suggestions have been using a DLC coating...which could be kewl too...

  8. no...

this ceramization process coating is not possible.

this case is made of aluminium ( ALMG 1 or ALMG 3 ) and with the composite / ceramization process the alu surface gets a ceramic coating.

and with further processings the surface will be colored in deep dark brown.

    rolli

Bummer, kinda figured it would be a long shot tho...wish i had a spare 10k lying around..lol! :)
