LOL, that is sooo kewl!
I miss Alaska, I spent about half a dozen summers in Chignik in the mid 90's, it is an amazing place.

Hey Flav,
I am lazy and didnt read your whole post, but I got the jist of it. Sorry to hear this guy is being a jack a$$!
-
Tomorrow
Sweet strap dude! what kind of strap is that? is there a site you can direct me to?

The UPO lite and asian steelfish do not i repeat DO NOT have an asian 2824 copy, the movement in these watches has nothing remotely to do with 2824 or eta no matter what they advertise it as. The only watch i have seen that had a 2824 copy was a sub from river.
thanx for the reply, can you tell me what movement is in the UPO /SFSO lite?
thanx
-
Hey all,
My understanding is there are different movements the dealers label as "Asian 2824", is this correct? If so, does anyone knows for sure which reps have the "Asian 2824-2 copy" movement that The Zigmeister reviewed HERE
....specificaly i am interested in the UPO lite and SFSO lite.
thanx

LOL, I will assume your heart is in the right place, but all this info and more is already available to all members...all you have to do is use the search button...
-
Enjoy your vacation Zig.
-
Are the pannies, or any of the other reps for that matter, using a real PVD process yet?
yes, do a search.
-
Just wondering...
thanx
-
Yeah, i agree...you need to ask A L O T of questions. I have only bought watches from a member once, and it wasnt even a purchase, I made a trade...but the watches I got were junk...but not technicaly misrepresented, it was my fault for not asking the right questions...so I just ate it
I have sold a couple on the boards and have always listed anything i considerd an "issue"
-
I have two for the next single sided run....

Thanx for the PM The Zigmeister. I will follow up with you on this as soon as I get the Cousteau.
And thanx for the info on the build quality of this watch.
You are such an excellent resource for all RWG members, all the various moders definitely add to the RWG / rep-collecting experience, but your many reviews, tearing down of movements and breaking it down for us, is such a valuable resource to all of us pursuing this hobby
-
The Zigmeister you are the man! i have been waiting to see if this could be done before buying a cousteau, now looks like I will have to send Angus some more money....
Can you please comment on the over all build quality of the cousteau.
And could you please PM me what the cost for the lume service on the Cousteau will be.
thanx

this would look bad ass PVD'd too!
-
Eddie Lee, Precious Time and River have the high-beat decent version. The usual Chinese dealers don't.
thanx pug
-
Hey all,
Sorry for the Newb'ish question.
I am feeling too lazy to email all the dealers to find out which ones are selling the high beat pilot chrono, so I am hoping someone who already knows can help me out...
also, is there any difference in the quality of the High beat version Vs. low beat version? (other than the movement)
thanx.

most accurate and best fit and finish goes to the Ingy.
Most favorite goes to my 7753 196.
-
This wasn't actually the only matter regarding this DW, as I discovered that not all the Pam models (reps), which use the 7750, have the same alignment teeth/numbers.
In fact it seams that Submersibles have teeth lined up at half number, while the daylights 187 - 188 - 196, have the teeth lining up with the top part of numbers, as it should be on the DWs I have printed.
so, will this date wheel only work with the Daylights? or will it work with submersables as well? I would consider getting one for my 243.
-
I have a PAM 196, 127, IWC Ingy, but I get the most comments on my blue dial SFSO. so the SFSO is my vote for WOW factor.
-
BBB-
It never will be again. There was a reason why we paid what we did the last time beyond stupidity. You will see shortly. If I can't swap parts the movement will go into one of my old school Pandas.
y not just swap movement and dial to the honpo version?
-
hello,
most of you would have recognized that honpo is offering a pam194 titanium version on his homepage. i
Ordered my 1st rep - Initial Servicing in L.A. or Orange Co.?

there is a watch repair shop lower level of south coast plaza...I have taken watches there to be sized, but never had any work done there...but the guys there are very cool.
My recomendation is to send your watch to The Zigmeister, thats what I do. He has great prices and impecable workmanship!
