Yes! Hip-hip-hooray for us! May sweetness and light reign again on RWG! @admin: you might want to lock this thread as well - nature abhors a vacumn and human nature being what it is....
-
@ Neb & Happy: Just change stations, boys. No one is MAKING you follow these threads. Lots of inspirational, easy-listening and comedy formats on RWG. Let the mods do their jobs, and the members work it out.

Dear Mr. Lazarus - I have a link for you
ryyannon replied to TJGladeRaider's topic in General Discussion
Being a mod here looks like a lose-lose proposition: either too much or too little, depending on the issue, people's moods, the phases of the moon... IMO Willith is exactly right in this case. Elliot dropped his little stink bomb as a provocation. Others responded to angrily to the bad smell. Still others asserted that they couldn't smell anything. A few tried to put the blame on the members themselves for defending one of their own, who could no longer abide by the presence of such an individual on this board. Whatever your point of view, there was a lot of pressure building up over some very legitimate issues (ie, was Elliot going to take away ryyannon's hard-won title of fu$§*tard?), not to mention the depart of a member for whom many had great affection, due to the arrival of another whose only interest in the forum appears to be taking rather than giving - and whose tactics of threats, bullying and intimidation had already created a reaction of very justified rejection amongst those who had been their object. Let the mods do their work - if you don't want to follow the thread then check out Miss Understood or what the dealers are offering today. In the meantime, let the mods and members of RWG deal with being on RWG - which means moments of conflict - and hopefully resolution - rather than leaden consensus or repression. -
In a word: tastless.

I've been here longer than many and not as long as others, and it's very rare that either dealers catch flak for shoddy service or products - meaning that both have excellent reputations.
-
Funny you should mention that, Sub. Especially in light of the first link in 'Related Posts' just below. I don't usually get involved in these situations as a third party, but this seems to be an open-and-shut case. I never like to see a member who is apparently in good faith getting screwed...

Thanks for taking the time to share, C-stone... Others will profit; as for me, I couldn't get past the dialogue window requesting the password: it seemed frozen, and I couldn't enter your hot chestnut and unthaw it. After I cancelled, I went back to the zip.file on my desktop and tried to open: got a new window asking for MY password. Entered yours hopefully, but ziltch. Now when I try to click to open, nothing at all happens. I get a feeling that Mr. Zip doesn't like me. Oh well... thanks anyway...your gesture was appreciated.

Clarabell the Clown, Howdy Doody's sidekick, dead at 84
ryyannon replied to bres3000's topic in The looney bin
Anyone who would have noticed and gone on to post it on the board gets my instant respect: Here's to ya' bress... :-) Peace out. -
To tell you the truth, I always had a good feeling about him... as a person.... as for his music, a track here and a track there.....I used to know a girl who was going out with the guy who plays the sax solo on 'One More Night' - Don somethingorother...drugs got him and he's dead now, but it was a great solo.... I rarely do blanket judgements on artists....I've even got one or two Michael Jackson's (Raining in Moscow and Man in the Mirror) along with David Sylvain and even more arcane stuff that you hear maybe once and never forget... I just wish you guys would take the time to put one or two of your faves on the board instead of just saying that you think they're great... a picture's worth a thousand words, and all that.... Anyway, you've got Bird of Paradise, Blade Runner, Mandalay to listen to, and if someone gets off on it, I'm happy to have brought it to the board...

Just words and names until you post the files, Neil. Be a sport and let us hear...you can use the same platform as jraines and I are using, just by hitting the link and uploading a file on the new page. We won't tell anyone that you were actually nice for once, honest....
-
Good link, plays loud and clear... Sounds a little like Tom Petty - it's a nice one That platform makes posting files easy - it's great to be able to hear what other people here are listening to... Thanks for posting it! @Thor (and anyone else): Here's another site with a choice of great streams: http://www.di.fm/ I pretty much go to sleep and wake up with their Lounge music station. For reasons unknown I can no longer connect to their Smoothjazz stream, but when it was working it for me it was the best selection I'd ever heard in years of listening...

For those of you not following this live, Gran and HighDef are consulting privately at the sidebar... Stay tuned for the latest developments, just after a word from our sponsor...

Looks like a bad link: opens in a new page, but with this message: Passcode is invalid... deep link or stale link ? Do *not* deep link to this page, it won't work ! Not sure what it means, but I would like to hear your file... :-)
-
Ken, normally it will open in QuickTime format - if you've got QT, it should work. Possibly even RealPlayer... Click and see? Update: I tested both links using an outside computer (not my own) and they work...

I am the great ToastMaster and I know more about this subject than anybody. My replica vintage toasters can all be fitted with genuine parts, so don't be fooled by those cheap Asian copies that many dealers here are selling. Don't even bother trying to contact me, because I'll never answer you unless you speak faultless German and pay me in pre-1939 Reichmarks! And I'm working full-time for Tanfoglio anyway, you sorry bunch of schweinhunds.
-
Blade? Is that really you?
-
I'm offering full service and modding packages on electric toasters. PM me for prices. My Motto: Others May Say They Know, But When It Comes To Toasters, They Just Blow. Yours truly, fu$§*tard (your Trusty Toaster Guy & the member formerly known as ryyannon)
-
The site was never there, Leeroy. We all just thought it was.

And then RWG crashes right after Blade in a PM reinstates my posting privileges. Never even had the time to ask him if I was still a fu$§*tard or could go back to being ryyannon... But seriously, folks... Six months in the cooler, heavy financial hits from all sides, all kinds of GAF and government-types standing on his feet...and then RWG blows up in his face the first time he re-surfaces gotta feel for the guy: that's an awful lot to have on your plate.
