I agree, the only way my wife would let me do this would be if I did it at my girlfriends house.
I think it looks great and I want come to your house and drink beer and buy a watch.
It is not easy to work with and any mistake will tell on you.
Practice on something you don't care about. Sandwich dial PAM's are pretty easy. Some dials with surround markers are pretty easy. A dial like a sausage F series PAM or that B&R, I would not touch with a ten foot pole. One twitch and your dial is ruined.

You wont save any money doing it yourself. A TriTec kit will run you almost what Rob charges to lume one and you cant buy his skills in a kit.
Sorry for your experience, but at least you get a full refund. I understand some do not.
I was going to buy some parts from him about a month ago, but never did. Might have to eventually, but not today.
It's a shame really, because when he started out, I thought he was going to be a really good dealer. He was asking for our input and making changes, etc. I do not know what happened, maybe he just got burned out.
