  1. I have conducted some fairly extensive research on the TF and JF 15400's. In my estimation, the JF is off in three significant areas:

    1. the case thickness being 1mm over gen

    2. the date font being wholly incorrect.

    3. the tapisserie cubes being too small.

These three 'face' factors let me to select the TF 15400 over the JF 15400.

My white dial TF should arrive next week.

  2. The Noob v5 is pretty darn close.  The date font could be a bit sharper, however the photo is a least a 2.5x magnification to the physical.  The N Factory will have a high bar to beat to take out Noob v5, I think.  Thanks for the photo comparison Agentoso74.  Very useful for Hulk geeks.

  3. Right, I know!  I'm keen to learn more about this new (NEW Factory; N Factory) Hulk.  If anyone has pictures or links to a TD that has this model, please share on this thread.  Otherwise, I'm going to have to sell something in the portfolio to fund up a Noob v5 like Agentoso74's.

    Hmmm, maybe the Patek 5980?

  4. The most recent Z Factory (ZF) IWC 5001 in rose gold recently acquired from distinguished member DVN with a new dark choco croc strap in 21/18 on order!  This piece is amazing...incredible detail in physical.

  5. Yes, that is what I just researched.  My dealer will have a Blue TF in tomorrow for review.  I wanted white as I thought that was the best dial.  Do you have a Blue dial TF....is it very good to excellent?  I have read that the AP Blue is the most difficult to replicate..thus some debate as to it being an ultimate tell.  As an aside, I offered to 'take' a Patek 5711 Nautilus in Blue or White with the decorated bridges as a replacement.  Thiose two are out of stock too. Bummer.  I expect to receive a few photos of the TF version tomorrow.  Thoughts on Blue over White from TF?

  6. I spent a bit more time analyzing photos from intime.co and Toro vs. eBay genuine models. In particular, the white dial version since that is what I want to acquire.

JF (J Factory): the date wheel font is 100% off, the location of the screws on the clasp is incorrect, the tapisserie cubes are too small, case 1mm too thick. For $378 I think there are too many flaws. The most redeeming aspect is the movement engraving which is quite nice....if that is the most important thing to you.

For $328 the TF (T Factory) is the better option.  I would argue it is the best currently available.

I am squarely in the Martijn and Legend camp on this model. As such, I ordered a fresh, new white dial TF version from Toro this week.  I'll be sure to snap a few micro shots for this thread when it arrives.
