  1. This is a great start !! Personally I would say that even the 2nd attempt is too deep and I think you should go shallower, in general these lug engravings are very shallow unless looked at under extreme macro. So if you are looking at a normal photo and they look about the right depth then there is every chance they are too deep, under a macro lens they will look way to deep. I would also try to match the numbers a bit better, especially the zero, maybe they can be traced from original photos?

  2. What HR quotes for sterile prices (i.e prices shown on their web site or ebay store) is NO WHERE NEAR what they charge for branded stuff. For example the price of their sterile "6538" dial is half the of what they ask for the branded ones and that is after they doubled the price of their sterile "bond" dials about 6 months ago. I am sure that there is easily 200+ difference between the sterile and branded cases.

  3. Wow great result... I am currently collecting parts for the same build later this year with a very similar build list. The 1030 is currently with the watchsmith... and later this month I need to begin the process of getting in touch with the unspoken one for a dial !!

Also I know nanuq has a soft spot for the MQ mid cases, do we think he is a better bet these days? If so I might need to change my mid case order pretty quickly !

Love this... nice build. I am always impressed with authentic looking builds that are not budget blowers :-)
