  1. Mine's a bit flakey (on a 2836 in a PO from Trusty) too, but not to the same extent. When I push the crown back in after setting the date, it doesn't click back into the winding position so the date continues to change as I screw down the crown. I have to pull it out to the time-set position and then push it all the way back in for it to properly move past the date-set. I would be interested to hear any ideas on how to fix these problems as well, as I will probably do it myself. REPPIN, I would send it back mate, sounds like yours is quite a lot worse than mine.
  2. Have you seen this thread mate? http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=168647 If you're waiting for it, I'm guessing you mean the Noob version? BP version is already out! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Silly me! Thanks mate look forward to reading Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  5. Wow! That thing looks amazing, 10x as nice as in the website photos. I really didn't expect it to be this good! Looks like they have finally got the silverish/starburst white colour of the sub dials correct. The case is spot on too, the bezel looks very sharp. Plus the recessed date wheel looks less obvious with the black background. This is my next watch for sure, very jealous mate! What I would really like to know is if it's frankenable - particularly the dial and slide rule. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Just noticed there is now a 'Dark Blue' version available, added a few days ago. Am I right in thinking this isn't a replica of an actual gen? The blue 01 is a different shade, has a blue background on the date wheel/sub dials and a silver Breitling emblem... http://pureti.me/product/navitimer-01-11-ss-dark-blue-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a7750/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Andreww, do you have a close enough relationship with any of the dealers who might be able to influence what the factories produce? Or do you know anyone who does? I've seen Angus reads a lot of feedback on Rep Geek, but not sure about the rest of the dealers. It seems logical for there to be a dialogue between the demand (buyers) and supply (factories). Then we would end up with the reps that we want most and the factories would sell more units. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks a lot for explaining that to me Andreww, I see why it's not an option for them now. I know some forum members have put A7753s into their Navis though, I'm guessing they just live with having to advance the date by turning the hands forward by 24 hours? Re the updated Navi, from what I understand from the TDs I have spoken to, there will be another Navi rep coming out separate to this one that Angus has. I'm guessing from a different factory. For me it's the Breitling logo on the B01 - I much prefer the 2004 style. Such a shame noob haven't decided to make one of that model, the gen is so popular it would definitely be picked up by a lot of rep geeks.
  9. They may come out with it in a future batch but I would imagine that's unlikely. The AR coating on the crystal is supposed to be better though (not that the AR on the BP isn't excellent) and I would imagine the dial and bezel will be closer to the colour of the gen. Again, the colour of the BP is very close, but not perfect. I bought my 45mm CrTi from Trusty and although everything worked out ok in the end (following a replacement bezel that I had to pay an extra $20 for), I would recommend Ryan @ InTime. I don't think he is a TD here yet, but he is at RWI and has had extremely positive reviews. See his section there for more info. His QC photos are some of the best and he is always very understanding when helping you to get a rep you are happy with. Plus his prices are very competitive. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Sorry for the double posted, just wanted to check - Andrew why do you expect them not to use the A7753? Surely this would be the next logical step for an updated Navi?
  11. +1 don't hold your breath. I asked a TD in August when they expected the new Navi to be out and they said 5-6 months. Seeing as we're now 4 months on and that time frame is still the same, I wouldn't expect anything before Summer 2014 at the earliest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I think it comes down to personal preference. I have a 6.5" wrist and my 45mm Ti PO on rubber looks great to me. I like watches with a large face generally but what made me go with the 45 is that I wanted a rubber strap, for a sportier and more casual look. With a t-shirt or casual jacket I prefer a bigger/chunkier watch. I also have quite large hands so that may be a factor in balancing it out a bit. For smart wear, it doesn't fit too well under my shirt cuffs, even under French cuffs. I'm a collar size 15 so I guess there would be more space in larger sizes. If I was buying one with the metal bracelet, which for me gives a dressier/smarter look, I would definitely go for the 42 for a 6.5" wrist. Some wrist shots (please ignore the soon to be replaced pearl!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. You will need to elaborate - what do you mean by brand new one? If you mean the newest Planet Ocean, there are several different Planet Oceans produced by Omega. For example, that is the Ceramic Planet Ocean (CrPO) GMT, which has a 2nd hour hand (with the orange tip) so you can track the time in multiple time zones. It is, however, in the latest range produced by Omega (see the Omega website) which we generally refer to as CrPOs. The older ranges are generally called the 5th gen PO (all white writing on the face) and the LMPO (liquid metal PO) or LMLE (liquid metal limited edition) (red writing on a black face). These both have a different shape hands to the latest range of POs, along with a few other differences. If you mean the newest replica produced by the factories in China, that is the latest PO produced by the BP Factory. Another factory called the 'noob' factory, who are known for producing very high quality replicas, have just released their version. Their 42mm PO looks very good, but it seems there are some issues with the sizing of the numbers on the bezel (20, 30, 40, 50) on their 45mm PO. I would suggest you have a read through the Noob PO threads on here and on RWI (another replica forum). In terms of how it compares to the gen, you will need to read around for this. There is plenty of information on the forums and too much to explain to you in one thread. Overall, they are both very good replicas, some of the best around, but none are perfect. Hope that helps Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but does anyone have any ideas on this? Many thanks
  15. Looks great mate, the pearl is much improved on this new batch (which started shipping a week or two ago) Be sure to post some pics when you get it! Mine is the one above, so I'm waiting on a replacement bezel (and fixing the movement) before I can post some decent shots Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Getting it centred isn't always that easy so you've done well there. The rep pearls are always a little more raised than they should be, but it shouldn't be as bad as this.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Great, cheers mate. Been busy over the last week but have decided against sending the watch back to the dealer, so will be opening it up to sort the date wheel and bezel once everything arrives in the post. I have a few more questions, if you wouldn't mind!... What type of adhesive did you use? I'm ordering some rodico and a dial protector from WatchTool.co.uk, so could pick some up there. I'm thinking super glue might be a bit too permanent in case I want to replace the bezel at a later date. http://www.watchtool.co.uk/adhesive-c-293_344.html Any other tips specific to the PO that you discovered when you opened yours up? How do I 'push' the pearl in, I thought the rim sat on top of the bezel? Also on a side note, how did you replace the crystal, I thought that requires a press?! Thanks again for all the help. I'll take/post some photos along the way that will hopefully help out others in future
  18. Hi guys, I have been having some problems with my new purchase and was hoping for some ideas of what they issue/fix might be. The movement completely failed after one week of ownership - a good wind or swirl only got it going for about 5 seconds. I then found when I turned the hands by around 24 hours that it encountered a patch where it was slightly more stiff. I very gently moved it past this point and the movement started working again, but now the date doesn't change when it should. Quick setting the date works fine and feels completely normal. It doesn't seem to make any difference which numbers the date wheel is on, none of them flip under their own steam. The TD has agreed to take it back as the bezel needs replacing too, but I can do the bezel myself so wanted to see if this is a well known problem or an easy fix? I can take it to a watch maker but would really like to see how difficult it would be to do myself if I got the proper tools. I've always taken things apart (including things as fiddly as iPhones) so don't think I would struggle too much, but if I'm going to have to take the entire movement to bits I think I'd rather not put in the time at the moment. If on the other hand it would only need a few parts being taken out/reset, then I'm keen to give it a go. Any ideas appreciated! Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Well I've managed to get the movement going again, for now! It was totally dead no matter what I tried to do, but winding the hour/min hands round by about 24 hours did the job. They got to a point where it became slightly 'sticky' to turn them, but I gently pushed them past that point and now the second hand is moving as normal. My guess (from my limited knowledge of movements) is that I have managed to move some dirt from one part to another, especially as the date doesn't seem to be advancing under its own steam anymore. I have found several watchmakers who will service it from £40-£80 but when it wasn't working I was planning to send it back to Andrew (he agreed), since I needed the bezel replacing too. I'm still considering this if the date function is definitely broken. Only issue is that he says I have to send it back by Airmail, not a courier, which makes me nervous. Sputim, have you used that bezel technique on the latest PO's or just the previous version? I'm a little nervous in case I lever it out and they have changed how they put it together! Thanks a lot for all the help chaps, much appreciated Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Wow thanks a lot for the detailed reply Reaper. I had actually read almost all of those threads but opted for the ETA in the end because it wasn't that much more expensive and I thought it was a safer bet. Now I wish I had gone with an Asian version and bought a sealed movement. Will definitely bear in mind that BP don't have the best reputation for ETAs. I think my next purchase will be from Noob anyway. Thanks again for all the info. Thanks Sputim, I'm thinking my best option is to send it back to Andrew and ask him to get the movement repaired and the new bezel installed. Otherwise from what I can tell there aren't any UK-based watchmakers at the moment, so my nearest is in Spain. With the bezel replacement as well, I'm probably looking at quite a hefty fee. Any thoughts on this? I'm also considering buying some tools and servicing it myself. I'm the sort of person that likes to know what's going on inside (taken my iPhone to bits many times) and having read a few tear down guides, I'm confident I could do it. It's just the bezel replacement that I'm unsure of at the moment. Do you think a repair in China (via Andrew) would be done sloppily and I'd get a better result if I did it myself? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Very sorry for the triple post but just noticed through the case back window that the movement has 2836-2 inscribed on it. I ordered an ETA 2824-2. Could anyone advise me if this means it's likely to be a clone rather than ETA? If so, am I looking at a return to Andrew? The movement has stopped working after one week.
  22. Also just noticed that Andrew has updated the picture of this model on his website In the past few days. The new picture features a model with a very good pearl. This can be seen above in my first post as I linked directly to it. The old photo looked like this: Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks for the replies. Andrew has agreed to send a new bezel insert if I cover $20 'postage' for airmail. I agreed so we will see what he can pick up. I have requested that he try to get one as good as the one I posted above and that I'm happy to wait if a good one is not available. Sputim, if it wasn't centred but full of lume like the other reps I have seen then I wouldn't be bothering to change it, at least for now. But unfortunately it really stands out being half empty and the rim around the pearl isn't rounded; it's like the end of a sawed-off pipe, if you see what I mean. Then again, as you say, I am a perfectionist Thanks for the info. Once I find out more details about the method I will go from there. Quite keen to pick up the relevant tools and do it myself if possible, just to learn. Reaper, I largely agree and wont be buying from Andrew again. He pressured me into accepting this one even though I had highlighted a significant and specific flaw. I made the decision to approve though so I can live with the repercussions. I read that on the old POs you could use a hairdryer to warm up/soften the glue behind the bezel insert and then pop it out using a razor blade. Is this not the case with the newer POs? Also I am currently searching the forums but would anyone be able to point me in the direction of a disassembly guide/thread for the new PO? As it happens the watch doesn't seem to be holding a 'charge' all of a sudden, so it might be going to a watchmaker anyway! Thanks a lot for the help
  24. A few more photos as the last ones were really shocking! These should show the problem more clearly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Received the watch! Overall very pleased and blown away by the quality, with this being my first rep. I will post up some proper photos and a full review in the next week, but was hoping to get a little more advice if you would be so kind... The pearl was exactly as I expected. The lume only comes half way up the circular rim and thus it loses any effect of looking like a pearl. Andrew reassured me it was just the photos after I highlighted this as an issue, so I feel he is at fault. Do you think I've got any chance of getting him to provide me with a replacement bezel for free, in the interests of protecting his reputation? Seeing as another RWG user had one like this shipped last week, I think mine is well below the standard expected. It's worse than any pearl I have seen on this model. Grateful for the help and apologies for the photos - best I could do with an iPhone!
