  1. Hi Ray, no problem buddy, very glad I could stop you getting scammed! Unfortunately there are a lot of them in this industry but with the use of the forums they are easy to avoid. Your best bet is to subscribe to this thread. If you click on 'follow this topic' up at the top right, alongside the thread title, you will get a notification when someone posts. You can then go to settings and select the option to receive an email for these notifications. You can also check the Omega sections on various Trusted Dealer websites. I have just seen this model on InTime.co, (http://intime.co/product.php?id_product=1159) so it would seem this chrono model is now repped but not by Noob as the scam website suggested. I have not yet seen one on the forums but would suggest you have a search to double check. Ryan (the dealer who owns that website) is a trusted dealer on RWI (another rep watch forum) and I know several people who have had positive buying experiences. His section on RWI can be found here: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/intime-watches-336.html Hope that helps. Any further questions, just ask.
  2. Definitely doesn't look legit to me mate. Prices are very high too (for the Planet Oceans at least). They claim to have Noob editions of the new PO chronos. Pretty sure they haven't been repped yet. I'm guessing they call it Noob Factory so that if an unsuspecting buyer googled it, they would find threads on here describing it as a legit source. 3. Thanks for the offer Rayma. I meant this exact watch, as the pearl varies on each rep produced by the factory. There are plenty of pics of other reps of this model here: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/158918-crpo-45-mm-titanium-review-with-pics/ And here: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/162766-po-titanium-45-from-trusty/ I decided to go ahead and approve the one above anyway. I don't think the pearl is great but Andrew assured me it is just the photos. The bezel is easy enough and cheap to replace anyway and the dial looks good to me.
  4. I asked for more but he said this is all I'm getting. The markers are good enough for my expectations anyway, just the pearl I'm concerned about. Any thoughts on it?
  5. Thanks Reaper, useful to know. Would anyone be able to advise how they rate the following QC pics? Just got them through from Andrew @ Trusty after having to reject the first one as the pearl had a load of imperfections (glue or soldered metal) around the circular raised part that houses the lume. This one looks better but doesn't look like it has much lume inside it, thereby losing the effect of it looking like a pearl with the slightly spherical shape. That being said, the 12 marker looks incredibly straight and I will most likely replace the bezel within 12 months with a gen part, but I'd like to have something decent in the mean time. Is this as good as I'm going to get on this model? Cheers, Luc
  6. Yeah that is largely my attitude as this is a fairly good/accurate rep. Unfortunately there was something major wrong with my first rep on the QC so I've had to reject it. Hopefully the next will be better! Enjoy all three mate
  7. Congrats Dutch, great looking piece and photos. I have just ordered the blue/titanium version but this looks so good it's got me wondering if I made the right call! you look to have got a very good pearl and 12 marker as well compared to some I have seen. Was this the first one you were offered in QC?
  8. DonT, I asked Angus the other day and got the following regarding the blue titanium ceramic. "The noob maker is not releasing this watch model soon, so if you really like it, then order it. but the blue color and the dial color is quite off when compare with gen. But it is still the best out there, you can give it a try"
  9. Hi mdiazperera, Many thanks for your reply. Appreciate you going to the time! That review thread is great. I had a look through before but some of the photos hadn't loaded on my iPad. Certainly looks to be a very good quality rep to me. Good to hear your thoughts on the noob version. I don't really want to wait around any longer so will drop Angus at Puretime a quick message to see if he has any new info, but otherwise looking to pull the trigger on one next week. The main issue seems to be the bezel/pearl, which long term I plan to replace with a gen anyway, so I'm sure this version will do the job. Cheers for clearing up my confusion on the terms. I think differentiating the different PO's will come to me with time/experience. The press release is actually a lot more informative than the product page on their website so thanks for that. I will go with the leather box then. That would be my preference anyway! Thanks again for all your help. Looking forward to getting my hands on the watch now. If Angus gives me any good info I will post it in the noob thread.
  10. Hi chaps, I'm relatively new to Omegas but have found one that I love and am hoping you might be able to assist me with a few noob questions! I've read through pretty much every related thread so hopefully they won't be too painful. Big thanks to everyone for the info/reviews, particularly Cougar and Khashayar. This will be my first rep. I came to RWG for a Breitling Navitimer but the inaccuracies and the fact that there will be a new model in circa 6 months put me off. The Omega model I'm looking to purchase is this one on Trusty: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_114&products_id=11114 Firstly, is this model the new rep from the noob factory, or the older one from BP just updated with a new strap? I understand the noob one will be of higher accuracy and that there has been a delay in their rep coming out. If this is the BP one, would you advise I wait? This one looks pretty damn good to me! Secondly, is there anything I should keep an eye out for when it comes to QC? I've seen that the pearl being as close to centre as possible in the triangle is something that can vary and also the straightness of the '12' marking. Is there anything else I should ask Andrew to try to avoid for me? I'm a bit of a perfectionist so would like to pick up the best possible version. Thirdly, could anyone advise what the correct box would be for the gen of this model? I'd quite like to pick one up to go with it and found the following two on Trusty. Wooden: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_102&products_id=2056 Leather: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_102&products_id=727 Lastly, it may sound ridiculous but for clarity what is the correct term & acronym for this model? I've seen a large number of acronyms (CrPO, POLM, ti) related and also some numbers, e.g. 300. From what I understand, this model is made from titanium, has a ceramic bezel (on the gen) and is made from titanium - does that make it a POLMCrTi?! Many thanks in advance for the help/patience, much appreciated.
  11. Hi Rek, I'm looking at picking up my first Omega rep. Are you talking about this model, as this is the one I'm planning to purchase? http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_114&products_id=11114
  12. Welcome Gnarly, KL is a great city. I went to Jalan Petaling (Chinatown) looking for a Breitling rep a few years ago and ended up with a Tag!
  13. Hi db1, Have you seen this thread? "My 7753 Navitimer" http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/141236-my-7753-navitimer/ Importr puts a 7753 (ETA I believe although might be Asian) and gen dial into a v1 rep. Great looking result. Would suggest dropping him a PM!
  14. Thank you for the warm welcome! I've read about the tells with the Navitimer but for now it's the closest I can get to the gen so I'm prepared to live with them. The idea of having a bit of a project is quite appealing to me anyway, as is the idea of putting in some gen parts. Plus it will be a whole lot nicer watch than I've ever had before! I have spoken with Andrew from Trustytime who has advised that he should be able to get hold of the Navitimer I want. Fingers crossed I will buck the trend on managing to acquire one! One thing to note that I'm sure will be of interest to many here is that Andrew kindly advised there will be a new Navi rep update being launched in 5-6 months, so around the February 2014 mark. From what I've seen this should excite quite a few people! I've been waiting for so long to get a Navi that I've decided to go ahead and get one now and another once the new rep is launched. I fancy having a few on different straps anyway, or at least that's how I'm justifying it! I'll head over to the Breitling section to post my questions. Thanks again for the info/welcome
  15. Hi chaps, new to the forum so thought I would introduce myself. My name is Luc and I’m based in the UK. Firstly, incredibly impressed with the wealth of info & expertise here. I’ve registered on the other RWG too and the amount of info I have covered over the past few days is bordering on ridiculous! My pursuit of (obsession with) a Breitling Navitimer is what has brought me here. I’ve just graduated from University so a gen Breitling is a bit out of my budget for now. My first attempt to get something close was a Rotary Chronospeed, an homage to the Navitimer. Unfortunately it’s far too lightweight and too small for what I wanted, even compared to my old £250 Armani watch (I know, don’t shoot me). Having read more about the difference between Quartz and Automatic, I now realise I definitely want an auto. I gather the Navitimer isn’t the most accurate rep, but I’m prepared to live with its shortcomings to have the next best thing to a gen on my wrist. I have a few questions that are quite specific about Navi reps. Would I be best to post these here or in the Breitling section? Cheers for the help and look forward to getting involved!
