Hi As I am getting ready to purchase my first watch I would like to know if there are any tips that can make me save any money avoid any problems or hassle. So for example I want to buy planet ocean 45mm from trusty, should I just go on his website and purchase it there or should I email him and tell him the exact model that I want?. Are the prices on dealers's web sites are fixed? Also wondering will I be shown the product before being sent out to me? regards

hi thanks but watches, clothing and accessories section just tells about the reviews by different dealers. It does not say these are trusted dealers or theres no list of trusted dealers, also most of the dealers web sites in their review are now out dated, and yes I am logged in. But somehow I have managed to found 2 dealers andrew and joshua. If I could find more of them would give me few options to choose from. regards

I am not ready to buy yet, just doing my research thats why I come up with new questions every day. like today I was looking at omega seamaster 45mm review and it was done in 2010 and then it was talking about 1, 2 ,3 and 4th gen models which confused me alot.

Hi when i read reviews here, first mostly they are old, then they talk about 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation reps. but on the dealers site like trust it dont say what gen is the model or what years is it from. So how should we telle the watches with the reviews ?? regards

lol I would have not been here looking for rep , I just like big looking watches.

as i stated i have been using g-shocks which are 50mm and above. i m spending £200-£300 on a rep and g-socks gen are £500 top. I like superocean and titanium seamaster but rolex are a bit too small I think. Apart from these I have not liked any other styles as well. I will be interested to buy 1 from these three. As I am told these brands donot make 50mm watches I think I will have to choose from superocean and titanium seamaster.

So which brands should I look for? I have been wearing casio g-shocks all my life so I dont know any other brands

Yes I have looked in to those suggestions you and other guys gave me on the recent post. I have looked and superocean but that is 44mm and another omega seamaster titanium which was 45mm. All the rolex are under 40mm. As I said I am looking for a watch with upto 50mm face.

hi all, I am looking to buy a watch, a good watch. I am in hotel management and meet and greet people who are mostly at a level of wearing gen rolexes or breitlings. Now I cant afford that. At the min I am wearing casio red-bull-racing-limited-eddition-watch-eqwa1000rb1aer. I want to keep this watch too and buy another one. MY budget is £300. I met a friend who bought a rep rolex from from dubai and it looked like a gen may be because I never owned a rolex. So I started searching and came to this forum and then trusty. I have been looking at rep breitling avenger/seawolf which are around 250-350 £. All I want to know is that is how long will they work fine and not need service or repairs, how good is the scratch proof or resistance glass and stainless material. Looking forward to your replies guys. regards.
